Despite the league not starting until she was 24, Leslie played the same 12 WNBA seasons as Jackson. She played 46 more regular season games and 21 more playoff games than Jackson.

Understood. But she played a number of games in the range of ages 34-37 where LJ hasn't played any. You have to think back to remember LLL in her prime, whereas the last time we saw LJ for an extended period of time she was actually in her prime. That may be skewing the thought process of some people.

I can settle this once and for all. I'll take 'em both! Practice might be interesting, but they're pro enough to realize that together they can conquer the world.

The playoff games is notable. Jackson only got out of the first round twice in her career. Leslie won at least one playoff series in eight of her 12 seasons. When they met in the playoffs, Leslie's team won all four times.

How many times was LJ injured in those playoff rounds?

Interesting. I didn't think of that way. I thought of it more from the standpoint that each won multiple titles. It doesn't really change my opinion one way or the other but I could see why it might tilt the scales toward Leslie in some people's eyes. Though edited to include LJ missed two of those series, and the first loss was in '02 when LA won the championship.

Looking at basketball reference LJ definitely missed '08 and '09.

Jackson being injury prone doesn't make me any more likely to choose her over Leslie.

You can see it both ways. LJ despite being injury prone still managed to win 2 championships and 3 MVP awards

And again, it's a different question between 'who do you take if you're drafting them and you get their entire career?' or 'who do you take to play one game for your life at their absolute apex?'

True, though I would answer the same for both.

Yeah, it's gotta be LJ either way. But the fact that her career was so injury-plagued plus she started out on such a terrible team at least keeps it somewhat of a debate Wink
