| Without knowing brunson was injured and this is her first game back, she looks great right now.

i've got Dish and they actually have ATL/Minny game up in the 9pm slot... and right now has switched to NBA Game Time. but why would you switch a game between the only strong team in the East, with a newly christened ASG mvp, and last year's champions who are the only western team not named Phoenix that actually has a chance at getting to and then winning the finals.... for an NBA ASG from 8 years ago??!!  this makes no sense. and i honestly don't feel like bothering with Live Access because it makes sure to mess up during games i seriously want to see. |

One thing Angel needs to do is eliminate those pull up 3s without the numbers, early in the shot clock. It's a shot she rarely makes, and one that can result in numbers the other way.
On another note, this is the kind of game where Schimmel's early presence can be impactful.

| Can't watch, but just looked at the App and noticed that Brunson has 6 points and 6 rebounds ALREADY in the first! Great first game back, so far!

Minnesota is not going out of its way by attacking Schimmel, and running their offense. Moore is hitting amazing shots.
Shoni's defensive effort seems improved though, when Whalen is in a one on one situation with her, or when she has to rotate. Her actual defensive performance may still not be the greatest but if she at least makes an offensive player work she can make more of a case for being on the floor.
I think her greatest vulnerability on the defensive end is in transition, as she is not very agile in terms of stops and starts, and she doesn't have that fluid hip turn that allows you to get in position more quickly.

| Where I think Angel has grown most as a player is her ability to recognize double teams and defensive help and to pass accordingly.

| The stuff that Angel gets away with amazes me. It's not the first time I have seen her go directly through someone on the defensive glass without a foul call.

I think so too. Angel is better than she used to be, but still something of a freelancer. Hayes is very sound positionally and uses her physicality quite well.
