OK, now I get it. In the last game between these two, USUNN ran up the score, I didn't quite get it, just assumed tie breaker.
4th quarter this game, the first three quarters were a set up. Now they are going to run.
Hope it works out. |

Normally, I would say the Mystics announcers are the least biased in the whole league.
But tonight, Missy Christy is pissy me off.

Good, I was hoping Thibault would do that.
Get a shot before with about 27 or more that way we get the ball back if all goes well.

Wow, I'm not sure that was a good call by Plank to do that, but since it worked, I don't think anybody cares.
I'm not sure you only use 4 seconds off your shotclock down too with only a 4 second differential.

Whew, I'm out of town and only got to watch the end via Live Access, and that got choppy as hell. Very exciting game, and I'm SO relieved.

To play last night, and then come down and play a double OT game and only lose by two, I can't be too angry at our team.

Not just that, but Usunn have sucked in last second plays, at least this time we got a shot we would take, AJZ for 3!
I can live with this game.
Great effort on both sides, just a great basketball game... |

I agree, it's losses like this that I am okay with.
Although, some points to work on...
-8 rebounding
17 assists on 35 baskets
29 fouls
16 turnovers
6 blocks against us
3P%
FT%

Just to add, I am lov'n me some Langhorne. I remember watching her at UNC, dayem, talk about a gurl who can finish a play, just give her the damn ball and get the f___k outta the way.
So here she is second year in the "W", same damn thing, I'm too small, I'm not physical, BS! Just give me the damn ball!
I'm lov'n me some Langhorne, even if she did ice my team...
The biggest shot of the game was the AND1, Gruda missed. She's young, she'll get better. I'm glad Sandrine is on our side...

Just got back from the game, pretty much have no voice left. That was the most amazing game I've seen the Mystics play in several years. Their outside shooting has been MIA for a while now, but they managed to score 91 points by grinding them out. Connecticut is a terrific team with very talented shooters, and this was a tough game for us, no question about it. (Someone please remind me why we traded away Asjha Jones.) Props to the Sun.
Alana was a warrior, particularly late in regulation when we had to catch up. And what can you say about Lang?!!!! OMG, I watched her for four years in college and this is the most complete, versatile, incredible game I've ever seen her play. She is scoring on outside jump shots, clutch shots at that (the one with one second left on the shot clock, WOW), making those two clutch free throws despite the worst form anyone has ever seen. 10 of 13 from the field. Unbelievable!!
The refs sucked. Sorry, I don't like to complain about the officiating, but these three guys just sucked. The replays on the megatron confirmed the zillion mistakes they made. They very nearly cost the Mystics this game.
I'm going to forget about them and just keep enjoying the good feelng I have right now. People were just joyous as we filed out of the arena.
It's only one game, but I think it shows that Angela and Julie know what they are doing and are on the right track with the franchise.
(Oh, btw, LeBron James was in the house.)
