It's something like the difficulty of the routine minus deductions. But you're right it's really easy to cheat the scores... cough... CHINA! |

Not disappointed at all. Without the Hamm brothers, there's constant pressure on the newcomers. China is just a better team--not sure about Japan, though (they looked like they were sleepwalking the entire time).

Japan was expected to win silver from the beginning.
I'm only dissapointed because the U.S. had the silver within their grasps and that Kevin Tan guy blew it. Bronze is still very good considering.
Yeah - my disklike for China is growing. Arrogant <beepity> <beeps>, cheating ones at that. |

We'll take it if they don't want it |

Yeah... and the injuries aren't helping. We'll see. A lot of people have to step up and step up to give some of their best performances. |

Yes they do but the U.S. has arguably the best 2 gymnasts in the world in Liukin and Johnson. Sacramone is good in her own right, especially in vault. We only need 3 to compete. I think the U.S. is in a very good position especially after the qualifications put them under the same kind of pressure they'll face tomorrow night (all scores count). |

I have to admit that while I was originally disinterested in the men's gymnastics event, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the action last night.
The Chinese were amazing and twice during the night I said "HOLY SHIT!" when the US men nailed routines.
That was a great out of nowhere performance by the US team. |
