Once again--Do any of you know anything about this game of BB???Douglas was and is the defending top scorer in the Euro-league last season--need I say more?? She is the best of the best--fact-- and IF she doesnt want to play for the USA-its her choice, and the USA's loss!

Does ayone have brains to consider maybe she has a heritage or other good reasons she wants to play for Lithuania???

Look at all the top male players in the NBA that refused to play on the USA National team??

Oh, and Seimone's not a ballhog. Confused

If you've been watching this year's Lynx, please tell me who you'd like to take the shots Seimone should have (in your view) passed up.

Back to Katie: I find it hard to believe she'd bag on a clear invite to join USA Basketball, but the rest of the story makes perfect sense to me: she has Lithuanian ties, they wanted and expected her on their team, but the Prez of the country applied the law and decided he just couldn't find a way to do it. If the USA invite she turned down was "come try out," rather than "we want you," I believe the whole thing.

More like no one should be happy... not getting to watch Katie Douglas play is never a positive thing -- no matter whose team she is on.

Douglas speaks!

Quote:
"Obviously, as an American, I would love to have gotten the chance to play on the United States team," Douglas said. "To be able to play in the World Championships was a dream of mine. I definitely did not decline a chance to play on the United States team."

Shw wasn't invited to play for the USA, shame on them.
She couldn't make the tryouts due to other BB commitments.
Now that she's injured it's all moot.
