This has been Bird’s best game in a long time. Maybe Tina Charles acquisition will pay off for the Storm this year. I did not having them sweeping the Mystics, kudos to Coach Quinn who takes a lot of heat.

Washington could definitely use a real 2nd option (SDS)

The reality is, Washington can’t win without a second scorer. EDD is great, but additional shot creating is needed.

I started think "surely T-Bone can outcoach Noelle Quinn enough to get the series back to Washington". Then I remembered that Thibault is a terrible playoff coach.

She seems more talented and athletic than Jantel Lavender and Seattle has too many good players for her to do a lot of shooting on a night when she is missing everything.

Welp, there was no path to a "happy ending" in this series for me, since only one team could lose. But, on the bright side, my "Elena Delle Donne and Mike Thibault are overrated" agenda is alive and well. #HateHard

Washington will not want to pay the price to acquire SDS.

The best player of her generation fell in his lap and he barely scraped one championship out of her

A win is a win. Believe me I do NOT love Washington. But I won't discredit their accomplishments.

Three of the top five (and four of the top ten) players in the league missed the season that year, either due to injury (Stewart, Taurasi, McCoughtry) or other reasons (Moore). Thibault never won anything before that season, and he hasn't won anything since, and I do not believe that's a coincidence.

Congrats to Seattle!
The petty side of me is glad the Styx didn't win. Load management apparently was not enough. Was the belief that that would guarantee moving easily through the playoffs?
EDD is great, no doubt! But she clearly had a less than stellar (by typical standards) game and the rest of the team didn't make up the slack.

Washington management will be telling themselves that they Load Management for no reason. They didn't even win ONE GAME!😂😆

Do you consider EDD and Stewart to be part of the same generation?

Good competitive series despite the sweep, also a good learning experience for Shakira Austin.

I consider Moore, EDD, Griner, Stewart, A’ja etc as part of the same generation. Parker, Fowles, Bird, DT, Catch et al as the generation prior to them.

Oh hell to the NO on that one! No way Mike T and Scowlin' Skylar can co-exist. Hard pass. Other than Tina Charles, Mike T avoids players like the plague who've been unhappy on other teams. And he learned from the Tina Charles fiasco to continue avoiding unhappy players.
And please no "oh but Tina was the scoring leader." Tina absolutely refused to play the role the team needed: defending the post. She stayed outside - just like she did in New York and hoisted the ball every time she touched it - just like she did in New York and then in Phoenix. Not sure what the magic words Seattle used to get her butt into the paint, but she is finally doing it. Still can't defend any better than Katie Lou but she is getting rebounds. I did notice today that when she started shooting every time she touched the ball, she got yanked to cool her jets on the bench for a good while.

Kristi Toliver was very successful under Thibault after being unhappy in LA. Aerial Powers had her best seasons in Washington after she wore out her welcome in Dallas. Elena Delle Donne was available to Washington because she was unhappy with her previous team.
