8. Atlanta- Dunlap
9. Ind- Thomas

I believe there's a good chance the team selection order in the 1st round will be change by a trade. Also, I believe the Silver Stars could select Pohlen instead of Pedersen.

I really like Harris, with all the players moving up could Harris or Phillips be available at #10?

This is turible, and has to be a joke. No way Pedersen is 2, and no way Indy takes Colson over Pohen or Thomas.

I had Pedersen as #2 prior to the college season, but not anymore.

Technically, this mock draft was posted on 4/01/11, so maybe that had something to do with it? Smile

I'm not at all convinced that Thomas is any better than Colson, but I agree that Pedersen won't go #2 and Pohlen will go ahead of both Thomas and Colson.

Colson can be the next Ros. She doesn't belong in the first round.

If everyone is so terrible, what are they doing in the semi-finals?

She's barely in the 2nd round at this point, but that would still put her way ahead of RGO.

Hmmm. What if Minnesota sent Nicky Anosike and a 2nd round pick to LA for the #5 pick and then drafted Moore #1, Lavender #4, and Sloot #5? That reunites Parker and Anosike in LA and gives them a good center and it allows MN to fill two bench spots with talented rookies who can learn from Taj and Whalen, which is what they need for the future.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea! I wouldn't be apposed to having Nicky in LA, but the thought of Vandersloot now excites me! I know I was stuck on Phillips, but Ticha isn't gonna be around much longer and why not have CV and LMo learn from Ticha while they can! Just think of all the possibilities! Lol! Another reason I wouldn't want to do this trade is bc it makes Minny a better team with the 5th pick also! Can't wait 4 the draft already!

The best thing for the WNBA and Cambage is if she can get with a team in a major city: she's a draw and will sell jerseys worldwide and nationwide. She should be a cash cow.

I see her agent already talking with Tulsa and telling them she doesn't want to go there putting Nolando in a selection/trade situation or simply bypassing her altogether.

One can only imagine what Maya Moore would produce in NY.

However, Parker did get to LA so you never know what could happen...........

I agree. And she would be hated and loved at the same time, that is normally huge for marketability. It would be perfect if she went to NY or LA, but the W cant just fix the draft. I hate the Sparks and not really a fan of the lib, but even I recognize what would happen if she went there. She is unique, thats for sure.

I will confess that I am a Jeanette Pohlen fan. I stated here during the beginning of the season that I believe that her draft stock is rising. Last night game against Texas A&M proved that playing the point guard position in the WNBA will not be the best position for her. Her best position is the shooting guard position. Kayla Pedersen is a good versatile player and she should be drafted high in the first round. But Kayla is not a lottery pick. If any team drafts her with the top four picks they will be making a big mistake.

I think Pohlen might struggle at the two as well -- I just don't see her guarding even a Marie Ferdinand-Harris.

Pedersen looked very solid, though, and if she can make threes in the WNBA, she's a keeper.

Pohlen has defended pretty well this year against even quick guards but she doesn't have the ball handling skills to handle pressure. I think her chances of making a roster are pretty marginal.

I was absolutely shocked by how large (and I don't mean tall) Adams is in real life. I always assumed much of it was the camera adding weight. She is farther from WNBA shape than Paris ever was and she lacks the size to really play the 4. I am guessing that if she gets picked in the first round that she will be the first first rounder cut.

Co-sign, doesn't look like a W player to me, and has really struggled in the tournament. But something is telling me that since A&M is in the title game, she's probably going to be selected the first round. Confused

I really think people that are saying Pohlen then Pedersen really have them backwards.

A 6'4 small forward that can make the shot inside and out and dribble like she showed last night? Come on...

Dan Hughes said they are looking at 3 guards a post that should be available to pick. Said it will be a tough decision to decide between guard or post.

I assume he is referencing Pedersen as the post. She would be a great fit for them.

The SASS desperately need guard help. Tully and Mazzante ain't a long term solution and probably not even a short term one.
