These refs are very light on using their whistles. Something the WNBA refs could learn. And it only takes them less than 30 seconds for a video review.

The last minute of this game was on the amazing side. Amazing bad, that is.

So much for the upset from Senegal. No way this Spanish team will get by Canada.

Fun game so far. (Though it is me or have the refs swallowes their whistles on a number of Senegalese travels)

By my count they've let approximately 354627847 travels go so far in this tournament. So I've pretty much given up.

They stopped calling travels and instead call a lot of T's for reactions to calls or 'flopping'
I rather have them call the travels. I dont want them to turn fiba play into wnba light

I sure hope not: Canada is my sentimental medal pick.

Right now I'd have:
GOLD: USA
SILVER: Australia
BRONZE: Canada
4th: Belgium

Canada sends Spain to the showers. If Kia & Achonwa can drop 35 or more

on Spain, it could turn ugly fast. Canada might even make the finals. If

Canada can dump on Spain and show them the door, that just might ruin

the Party that FIBA had planned for a Team USA & Spanish Final. The

worst matchup from a FIBA perspective is a Team USA & Team Canada

Final. And whatever stabs FIBA in the eye and butt at the same time is

the best possible outcome for all concerned.

Using this Australia-China match to see what Xu and Li can do against Cambage, but Cambage is just owning the paint. Looks like a blowout already.

Just one more example of a national team's players & program EXPOSED.

I THOUGHT late last night that China MIGHT be able to knock-off the Aussies.

WRONG. It looks more & more like a Team USA vs. Australia Final.

I wouldn't rule out Canada. I think Cambage has it easy, but Canada's guards will be the key to their success and beating Australia.

Please understand, I WANT Canada to drop-kick the Aussies out of the Tour-

nament. The Australian Sports Press and their basketball players, men &

women, talk so much TRASH!!! I am glad that Team USA has its players

mouths under lock & key.

Team Canada MUST have Kia & Achonwa playing well for Canada to defeat

the Aussies.

Magbegor needs to learn how to play D in the WNBA, otherwise she won't have any success.

I have a better explanation for Magbegor: she does not and probably

never will live up to the hype she generated in 2016 FIBA U17 Tour-

nament. When you compare Magbegor to A'ja, she is a SCRUB. But then

again, A'ja is the second coming of Candace Parker, minus the perimeter

shooting. Name ONE non-American number four [PF] front court player

that is better than A'ja today or you think will be better than A'ja by the

2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

I've paid a lot less attention to the World Cup since none of it seems to be on free feeds. If anyone wonders why the Olympics are a bigger deal to us, they could start there.

Hoping the France-Belgium is close at least. Not sure I'll be able to catch the Canada-Spain game.

If you have VPN with international options, you can probably watch from the FIBA site. I'm using London and it's working fine.

That is NOT the reason why. Americas have ALWAYS seen the Olympic Gold

Medal in Basketball as the apotheosis of International Basketball.

To this day, USA Basketball sees it the same way. Olympic Basketball

predates FIBA and their World Championship. USA Basketball does not

like and did not ask for FIBA's STUPID attempt to become the next FIFA.

FIBA is so EURO centric that they use the language, structure, traditions,

& trappings of SOCCER in their attempt to "GROW" the game as they call

it. Sorry, basketball in Europe has achieved all it will EVER achieve. And

NO soccer first nation will sacrifice its soccer national teams in an attempt

to chase elusive basketball medals.

Eh, I'd take Wilson over Delle Donne. Delle Donne has more range, Wilson seems to be as good or better at everything else. But yeah, there was a player who was MVP of the league and Finals MVP this year, and it wasn't A'ja Wilson.

So much for thinking this would be a close match. Belgium has looked very impressive this tournament. Didn't think they'd be a medal contender, especially since it's their World Cup debut. Is it more that Belgium has drastically improved, or teams like France, Spain and Turkey have taken a step back?

He asked for Non-Americans. So, you fail.

The easy answer to this question is clearly Emma Meeseman. Ezi Magbegor is at least four years younger than Wilson -- so she has plenty of time to develop by Tokyo. I wouldn't count her out yet. Then there is Jonquel Jones of the Bahamas, who if she returns to form could easily eclipse Aja Wilson. Raisa Musina would be an outside contender to run alongside Maria Vadeeva.
