These aren't the Three to See this year (in my opinion), but apparently they are friends off the court.

Where is Tolo playing this season? |
With Bourges Basket in France. And they made it very though last game against UMMC (DT and Parker). They lost 52-57 but Tolo couldnt play
Quote: |
Bourges could have been able to counter Parker better had they had Australian center Marianna Tolo available to them (Tolo was denied Russian visa), instead they had to play Dutch forward Chatilla Van Grinsven for almost 20 minutes. Providing Bourges stay healthy, the return match on January 22 will be a must-watch. |

bahh. I hate when players play in France, Their season is too long. They are the last to arrive and for a new player that would not work.
Of course now that Coach Brondello is in charge of player personnel who knows the direction the team will take....

College Sports Madness has always been pretty bad, but nothing too outrageous here.
Some might object to Coley not being in the Top 30, but you won't get a fuss out of me.
Maybe upward trend arrows for Plouffe and Foggie? Can Foggie play the point?

Thanks for posting these. Numbers don't tell the whole story but they are interesting. Some of these are also derived against a whole slew of less-than-stellar opponents which always skews things, but eventually it all somewhat evens out.

Jeff Walz showed some love for Natasha howard (FSU) after their game today.
Quote: |
"Natasha Howard fouled out and that's a big difference. She is a special player. There's no doubt that she will be a top five pick in the draft in April or May. She has 13 points and 14 boards and nine of them are offensive. She's something else. I wasn't pleased with our mental approach. |
So did S.Schimmel...

I think Walz is just looking for reasons his Top 5 team played so poorly. I'll track her stats, but there's nothing that screams "lottery" to me. Over Dolson or Gray?

He said it a few days b4 the game as well (I didnt say I agreed, although I do think she goes top10).
If you base her stock just off stats then no. She has to do a better job of staying out of foul trouble to average more than 24mins and cut down on To's. Hopefully FSU has a good season and she can prove herself throughout the year.
Over Dolson-Yes, Gray- Probably Not.

Dolson impresses me more everytime I see her play. She has a little nastiness to her too which really serves post players well in the pros.

It is pretty early in the season. I am assuming Connecticut is going to be in need of a center. Right now, I think that Dolson is the best available center. I am a fan of Hartley, but her height worries me a little bit. Also, she looks pretty slight as compared to other WNBA guards. The UCONN vs. Duke game could change everything. Who knows?

I just don't see what they would do with Hartley. Sure, she would be an upgrade to Quigley, but I think she needs pretty consistent minutes to be effective. There is a lot of college season left though. I think they could use Liston's height and shooting more.

Any of Sims, Gray (perfect fit?), or McBride would be preferable, but I just don't think that the will still be around.

What criteria are you using? I normally wouldn't have thought of tracking her, but I noticed her numbers when pulling up Gray's stats, and they were just too hard to ignore. If she can keep up those field goal percentages, she should make some kind of noise.
