Note the gals in the foreground. Does it look to you like anyone gives a flying fuck that these two gals are into each other?

If this is redundant I apologise. This is just sick; I'm a big fan of Orianthi but this girl is about 17 & she has "flo". She' plays sick rock guitar likes she's scratching her back or something. There is no labor to it at all. Sick.
Are there any quality recordings of this girl?

I'm thinking golf today. I've maybe seen a couple shots that come close. I have 4 hole in ones, 3 were called shots. None campare to this. Ya know, as a kid you watch pros, and you remember stuff.
It's hard to say, what was the best golf shot I ever saw, in person?
Jim Dent. You guys don't even know who he is. I do. I rember standing right behind the guy, he had about 185, probably 5 iron his hands, there was this low hanging branch, a tree, about 50 yards out, between him and the hole, the branch is about ten feet high. Dent was so strong, he makes this 3/4 swing at the ball, just flicked his wrist at it. You don't see this any more, these were old school shafts. Anyway, his shot comes out low, clears the tree, easy, the ball comes out low, under the tree and then climbs strait up in the air, like a fighter jet, comes down next to the pin like a spider with sore feet.
I got to see the 1977 Open, in Tulsa.
I was standing right behind Tom Weiskoff, 16th hole, 600 yard par 5, this was back when woods were made of, well, wood. Now this is OK so you can count on about a 15-20 mph wind, every frigg'n day. Tom swung the club square to square. I taught my self how to swing, looking at magazine pictures, of Weiskoff. Anyway, he hits it dead strait 300 something, the ball never moved off his line.
About this same time I look at the leader board, you can't really know what's happening, walking a course. Lou Graham, playing the same hole as Weiskoff, he makes birdie and he ties the lead! 17 at Soutrhern Hills is one of those Nasty short par 4's, old school.
Well, I'm out there, so I watch Graham tee it up at 17, tied for the lead, just now. He hit this ugly massive duck hook into the hard wood. So, I walk with the crowd, I'm standing right behind the guy. He's 30 yards in the trees, his only shot is 45 degrees right of target, but, maybe 180 out, he has a shot, he has to go under some trees, and then hook the ball 30 yards, over a bunker and stop it. [deleted]
This was probably, strategically, THE DUMBEST shot ever played in a major championship., that is until it stops 3 feet from the hole. I would give both nuts to have been standing right behind Lefty when he hits this one.

The context.

Eta: Even though Tiger was not the first player to hit this shot;
It makes for great TV.

I liked that, but she overuses the "yodel thing" a bit. Still, very distinct voice.
Funny enough, the youtube trail lead to the Katy perry song she sang, which led to Zooey Deschanel.
I find it hilarious that they are pretty much identical, Zooey is just pretty much more talented in everything.

Gloriana, minus one.
Quote: |
On July 11, 2011, Gloriana announced the departure of Cheyenne Kimball.[7] The group plans to continue working on their second album without Kimball, although she still appears in the "Wanna Take You Home" music video.

Wow, I wonder what happened? I like this band, bought their first album. When they were on, oh the sound. But they were just a tad rough in their sound. Kimball was often off key and she has some issues, not sure what, but they will sound better without Chey, but I'll miss her.
At the Grande Ole Opry, minus Chey.

With the CMA's coming up, ETOY is the only award I'm interested in. A Nod to Swift would make her the most honored female country artist in history.
I don't think there is any doubt she is the most deserving, having sold more concert tickets than anyone else, but these awards are fickle so you never know.
This isn't the best quality video but I think it makes the point. She played 2 nights sold out at Gillette Stadium, about 55K people. The second night it poured down rain, (the wind,, the cold and the rain Jammer). She came down after with bronchitis, and had to reschedule several dates. Was it smart, I have no idea?
["bring on the pretenders, I'm not afraid". No shit!]
Anyway, nobody left and if she ain't enjoying this she can act, yet unproven.

It amazes me what we miss. One thinks that they are informed, but we never are, not really...

Jennifer Nettles shines here, if time was portable, Nettles could have sang this song in real time, and shined, just like Loretta...

I don't watch American Idol. I think the last time I watched it was when Underwood won and that was only because I was caring for my mom, and she loved Carrie. So I had to Google, to know who Haley Reinhart is. I love her voice, it has this deep, rich retro sound to it.

Idol can be very hit or miss depending on the season. Occasionally you get the "special" ones..Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry, Adam (And Astro on the Xfactor)
This past season was fantastic talent wise. Of course, everyone and their grandma (who watched) knew Scotty McCreery was going to win. (And he pretty much killed the contestants in vote totals every week. ) But by the time Reinhart was eliminated, she was the star of the show. (You just can't beat the teen girls, their mothers, and country voters)
I've never seen a contestant have so much support/praise from other musicians, Gaga, Beyonce, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, the lead singer of the Animals, Elton John, Tony Bennett etc.. (And Tom Hanks was adorable about her..but he's not a musician.)
The incredible thing about her, and what almost cost her the show early on, is she can sing anything. She first started singing when she heard the song "Blue" and insisted she could sing the song (she was around 7) and her parents, who are part of a band, thought it was cute and let her sing with them. She then grew up singing with her parents who performed classic rock. She began writing and singing R&B songs when she was a young adult. And then in college, she studied jazz. (It seems like her album is going to follow an Amy Winehouse style, but really, no one knew. It could have been anything from classic rock to standards.)
I've said I just love "singers" and she's just...I've never seen someone have so much control over their voice. She can do anything she wants to with it. From growling, to scatting, to whistle notes and belting. She can have a raspy tone, but then when she wants to her voice sounds as smooth as butter. And then she just takes songs where she wants to take them, and just knows HOW to change them, what notes she should sing, how she should sing it. (When she sang Rolling in the Deep, instead of doing the lower softer build up in the bridge, she did this fantastic soulful belt, with a birdsong at the end. And the "deep" during the chorus, she chose just a different note altogether, which..sounded a little strange at first, but the more you listen too it, the more you like it. )
And now that I'm done being bragging about her, (obviously I could go on and on..) I'll actually post a video..
Some people hated this one, but it's when I became a fan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4yaVpMAQCE
And for a non Haley video..Loved this, reminds you how beautiful some of Lady Gaga's lyrics can be
