Mizzou takes down K-St. at home -- 68-42 in a bit of a statement game. Crushing the Wildcats after a battle with Baylor should keep the Mizzou confidence through the roof. Bond had an efficient 20 points on 7 of 8 shooting. St. Louis native Eetisha Riddle had 12 points and 5 boards in 21 minutes.

Could Missouri be headed for the top 25?

That may be a stretch. Baylor is still their only real quality victory. Also, wins over Texas or Tech won't carry the same weight they usually would. Now, victories over Kansas, A&M, and Oklahoma could say something. I'm not sure they'll be able to handle the Sooners though.

It at least looks like the narrow 68-62 victory (at home) over RPI#302 Alabama St woke them up... they need a few more victories over quality opponents to be top 25.

Are you saying they SHOULD need more (if the polls worked justly) or that they WILL need more?
Given today's results from NCSU, and Notre Dame's back-to-back losses against historically bad conference opponents, there could be some open slots in the polls next week: Mizzou is well-positioned to take one of them, especially since conference play has begun (i.e. historic powers from midmajors, such as La Tech, won't be able to play their way into the top 25 by beating ranked opponents). I expect to see Mizzou in next week's polls, whether or not I think they belong there.
