Im actually looking forward to this game. It should be interesting to see how the Irish play against the Vols.

The #1-ranked Tennessee Lady Vols (11-0) travel to South Bend, Ind., for the first time since 1994 to face #12/11-ranked Notre Dame (9-1) at 2 p.m. (EST) on Dec. 31. The Lady Vols and the Irish will be treated to an advance sell-out matinee crowd at the Joyce Center (11,418).

How I wish this was on national TV, instead of yet another bowl game. Razz

Blah. This game has no flow to it at all. Notre Dame has 10 turnovers but they're only down 15-5. Its shocking that they arent trailing by more...

Tyeshia Fluker and Erwin just almost got into it. Fluker and Anosike really have bad attitudes. Everytime a foul is called on them they complain. It gets annoying. I hope this technical is on Fluker.

I thought they called a T and to me, both people did their own in the contact. But still, im talking about every possesion every game. They complain too much.

Oh, and Shanna Zolman cannot create her own shot. Megan Duffy flat out stripped her and Zolman has had problems all day. I honestly dont think she can make it in the WNBA unless she improves.

I am amazed at the schedule that Tennessee is playing. Coach Pat has no problem with playing no one but the best teams.

Yes-- and they all want to play Tennessee. Geno, by contrast, implied Thursday (on TV) that he had tried to give UConn this year a more demanding nonconference schedule, but not enough top-tier teams wanted to come to Storrs. (I actually believe him-- look at the travel times.)

Nice comeback by Duffy and ND-- alas, too little too late. (And, very literally, too little: the Vols are probably longer than ND at every position, starters and reserves. Duffy's 5'7"-- she had six-footers in her face all night. And yet she adjusted and had a fine second half.)
