Yeahp--it's Philadelphia vs. Western New York for the crown. I was expecting a lot more goals than 2, obviously. It would have been neat to have Wambach play in her hometown for the title and the huge crowd that would bring. However, let's all hope the people of Rochester come out in droves for the title game. It's going to quite embarrassing for the league if just a few thousand bother to show up.

Was correct with all the winners--and got the PK score right--yeah me--I'll go get my cookie now.
Congrats to Western New York--now let's hope they don't follow the pattern of WPS champions and fold. I'm hoping there is a next year.

It was reported after the game that the squirrel was ok.... I felt bad for the poor creature but oh my, that was absolutely hilarious. So congrats to WNY for the championship and to the squirrel for his or her national TV debut.

That's only happened once, the first WPS champion, Sky Blue FC, is still in the league. So Although it was last season, I don't think it's considered a pattern.
I do agree with you though, I hope there is a season for them and the entire league this season.
On a side note, watching the championship game makes me wonder how good the LA Sol could have been if they didn't fold with many former Sol players on both teams.

attendance was reported at 10,461, not a sell-out, but still a large crowd for the WPS.
2010 Final in Hayward, CA drew just 5,228.
2009 Final in Carson, CA drew 7,218.
