I offer to my fellow RebKellians, from 1974, one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" songs of that time period:

Reunion's "Life Is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" Cool

Cheesy 70's?

I offer something that is in no way a guilty pleasure, but it damn sure is cheesy

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KGuFn0RPgaE?fs=1&hl=en_US&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I also offer my apologies for putting this here. Some things should really stay in the 70's.

Nah, without ABC we don't end up with OPP, so thanks from me to the Jackson 5.

The Dead Kennedys certainly documented cheesy social situations as well as cheesy social problem solutions.....

Haha ... that's what I was originally going to post before changing my mind to Baccara.

If a Wisconsin gal says it's cheesy, it's seriously cheesy.

Tough choice. "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" was # 1 on Billboard charts for two weeks, displacing "Band on the Run", which enjoy only a 1 week run. What does that say about where brains were at in the 70's!!! Embarassed

I dont' think I should tell you what I have for 70s cheese on my Ipod

Yes, I have Life Is a Rock & Billy Don't Be A Hero...

Eres Tu - Mocedades
Spiders & Snakes - Jim Stafford
I Can Help - Billy Swan
Wham Bam Shang-a-Lang - Silver
The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace (who did the original Billy Don't Be a Hero)
Third Rate Romance - Amazing Rhythm Aces
The Rubberband Man - Spinners
Wildfire - Michael Martin Murphy
One Hell of a Woman - Mac Davis
Me and You and a Dog Named Boo - Lobo
Emma - Hot Chocolate
Nice to Be With You - Gallery
Popcorn - Hot Butter
Undercover Angel - Alan O'Day

and in my opinion the one so cheesy even I don't have it, and it was in fact Number 38 years ago this week....My Ding-a-Ling by Chuck Berry

Now if you want to do COOOOL 70s songs, I got you there too.

Oh have I got one for you. Shoot, this duo alone is the embodiment of 70s cheese and I could give you more singles than the one here, but thought I'd go with this one. The video may be from the 80s, but the single came out in 1976.

Great, or rather, a "grate" choice of a song!

Quite possibly, one of the worst songs of the 70's. It's more reminiscent of the teenage tragedy soap opera songs from the early-60's (examples: "Tell Laura I Love Her", "Leader Of The Pack", etc.)

Some of you might remember the following song that was used in a jeans TV commercial in the 1970's.

Wow, if you are talking top 40 radio AM, in the 70's, all I had, I think the more valid Question would be least cheesiest.

A short list:

- at least 95% of the disco songs.
#1 Disco duck: ( I rest my case) Laughing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97RjuC9YeXg

99.9% of CB/Trucker songs:

No link here, can't remember a single title.

This song really, really sucks. It sucks. Worse than Disco Duck, for a factor of something.

Oh geez, I'm competitive, so I don't quit.

This is the worst song I've ever heard WITH MORE THAN A DOZEN HITS. And I don't speak THAT much Spanish. The lyrics could be anything, don't matter, the song absolutely sucks!Shocked
