Anyone know if conference and national tournament statistics are officially added (or subtracted) to a player's regular season stats in the official books?

In other words, is the scoring title already in the books, or does a player who is second in the scoring race still have a chance to make up .6 ppg and finish as the nation's top scorer being she has a few games left to play?

Thanks in advance.

I think the post-season numbers are counted with a players season stats. Marita Payne of Auburn broke the single season blocks record in the SEC during the tournament. That makes me think the post-season stats count with the regular season stats. Of course, this was according to the announcers so one can only wonder.

I thnk the conference tourneys count, but I don't think the NCAA tourney stats do, but they might. Smile

The NCAA archived stats have 39 games for Sue Bird in 2002, so I would think that stats still count Smile

Thanks all. I'm sure you're aware that i could have dug that up myself, but I've just concluded a 16 hour work day and now I can take a 90-minute nap before putting in five more hours instead of staying awake and finding out myself - thanks again
