But this is getting ridiculous. The Seattle Supersonics were fined (or was it going to be fined) for infractions of on-court dress. The infraction . . . that their shorts not go below their knees. What the?!!! What, I suppose David Stern really wants them to wear throwback uniforms with the wedgie inducing, crotch restricting, can tell what religion you are-tight shorts of old. Really, who wants to see that?

I understand the logic behind this rule though. Some guys just wear their shorts too darn long. It looks like they're wearing skirts! Under no circumstances do I want to go back the John Stockton look, but the rule about the shorts having to be 2 inches above the knee is an long-standing rule and one that I completely agree with.
