i think if K-State had to come back to Minneapolis again, both Voepel and Patterson would go postal.

I still can't figure out how Gonzaga, with the #49 RPI and a sub-200 SOS ranking, is ending up so high in various bracket projections. I still say they're a #10 seed at best, and likely a #11.

Two CAA teams? The only way I see that happening is if Old Dominion loses to Delaware in the CAA finals, and even then ODU's at-large chances are 50-50 at best. Delaware's at-large chances are pretty much nil.

Anyone think Louisiana Tech could take Ohio State in a second round matchup? They'd have problems with Davenport (who wouldn't?), but if they could make shots and get their press going, I'd have to give them a reasonable shot.

As far as the CAA teams go, that's the danger of snapshotting instead of projecting. A loss by either ODU or Delaware, even to each other, in the conference tournament would likely knock them out.

As for the Zags, their resume is as strong or stronger than most of the teams that might move up past them. I still haven't heard a compelling argument as to why a team like Arizona or La Tech or Iowa should be ahead of them.

yeah, i'm not too hot on Iowa either -- they're one of the team's whose RPI looks inflated to me. .500 in the Big Ten isn't good, especially considering the favorable schedule they had (they got to play 4 of the bottom 5 teams twice). And they haven't beaten a top 50 team since November (ok, Dec. 1).

They manipulated the RPI perfectly by playing a bunch of moderate-to-mediocre teams who win a lot of games in weak conferences. But I'm not sure that should get you a good seed... or even get you in.

I think Iowa has done enough to get in. Half the battle is winning the games you're supposed to win, and they've only lost once outside the RPI top 50. I doubt they'll last long, maybe second round if they get a favorable matchup.

UConn runs the BE tourney or even makes the final, I'm not so sure they end up a 5.

Since it's on their home floor, I would expect them to make a run at it. I would think beating Notre Dame in the semis would easily be enough to propel them up to a 4 seed.

Glad to see my Lady Cougars projected to be in, but alas, they probably won't last long.

I am wondering how much the Tounament will affect Sancho's regard in the Draft. I have to think it will have some impact on how early she goes, or doesn't.

Well I just crapped out trying to get tickets to the first and 2nd round games at Gampel.

All that was left the minute they went on sale was no back bleacher seats in the corner. At $70 per ticket ($25 more than at Reunion Arena and some others), screw it.

It's times like this that we can be thankful for cable TV. Isn't is amazing, though, that they can charge such prices for tickets to a women's basketball game and they all sell?

March Madness is here!!!

They have to win the Big West tournament to get in. As do my beloved Gauchos.

truly outrageous pricing. i despise the gouging (ticket price increases in 2 of the last 3 years from $15, to $20, and now $25 for reg. season; parking fees increased) while they refuse to give ALL the faithful real seats!

but things may be changing. only the tenn and texas games had SRO crowds this year. there were empty seats at gample for ND and BC.

BET ticket sales are sluggish. Prices on EBAY and from scalpers are more than reasonable. i hope the trend continues and we can weed out the bandwagon-jumpers. Smile

OK, so they still have a chance. I might be up in Santa Barbara for Saturday's game.

$75 bucks for reserved seats to all sessions at the SEC, and I'm here now ... Smile
