against some good competition:

Cal graduate and current Seattle Storm player Ashley Walker just completed her first season of overseas pro ball and was named MVP of Israeli Pro League.

"Ashley Walker, Ashdod's excellent forward in her first season in Europe won the MVP title. She beat out her teammate Natasha Lacy, Kia Vaughn from Ramat Hasharon, Kristi Toliver from Raanana Hertzeliya & Monique Coker from Natanya. Walker averaged 20.0 points and 8.1 rebounds on the season, and improved to 22.8 points and 9.8 rebs in the playoffs while shooting a better percentage."

That's awesome, congrats to her. I'm glad to see she is being successful overseas. I hope it transfer over to the WNBA, I would love to see her be just as successful at some point in the WNBA.

You never stop working and learning and improving. I can't wait to get back up to Seattle and see the Storm this summer.

Good onya Ashley! Cool

It's "only" Israel, but it can't hurt her confidence, winning the MVP over there presaged good things for Tanisha Wright.
