Exactly.

But, getting in a GOOD system with a coach that knows something has got to improve them...

And, I've got to ask, what's with all this "Great Team" for LA -- CP3 rocks the house, not a doubt... but LLL is gone, TT is aging, as is D'Nasty and D'Betty... And you've still go Bobbitt... So, talent wise (not owner wise) seems a step down.

Question: Was Maryann Stanley offered the LA job? If not, WTF??

Gillom has a better winning percentage as a WNBA head coach than Stanley.

Or how about the Spark's assistant coach? I remember watching a Spark's game on television during a timeout and the assistant was drawing up a play while Cooper looked over her shoulder and nodded. Smile

Maybe Jen got tired of teaching and decided to take on a challenge with more veteran players.

Didn't Laimbeer win a championship as a newbie?

Well he took over halfway through 2002.

But in 2003, he only had that half year of experience, so I guess you could call him a newbie.

That would be a great choice, Pokey is a good coach who has experience with vetern players in Russia. Tina Thompson and Diana were instrumental in getting Pokey to Russia. Maybe Tina could put in a word for getting her to LA. I like Jen but I don't think she has what it takes to coach LA. I was shocked to see that she might get the job.

How would LA fans feel about having Pokey there or is Jen a definante? I haven't seen anything announcing her as the coach yet.

It really looked like Cooper was grooming Stanley alot last season. But that was before the all the changes in the W in regards to teams moving, folding, etc.

Have players commented on maryann being "mean"??

I’m pretty sure I was talking about Stanley here.
