We have a lot of lesbians in the WNBA.
Seth Sulka, John Whisenant, Mike Thibault, Richie Adubato, just to name a few. It doesn't get any hotter than that...

As a lesbian I can tell this joke...

What do lesbians do on their second date? Rent a UHaul.
What do gay men do on their second date? What second date?

A few years back my teen-aged daughter explained to me that in her peer group, tongue rings had sexual connotations, but she was talking specifically about heterosexual sex. Just to bring me up to date on modern hip culture, do people generally associate tongue rings with gays and/or lesbians? I thought it was pretty much cut across categories of sexual orientation.

Iv'e heard of some players being married & swinging the other way. As well as some being gay & then getting married. We have a very diverse group of players. Of course these are just behind the scene rumors.

When Byers played in Sac. She had a little club going. Many players would come by after games, visiting teams as well.

"but I don't believe sexual orientation is a choice."

I'm tempted to agree. But making your sexual orientation public knowledge IS a choice.

Heterosexuals don't have to choose to whether to make their sexual orientation public or not. It's generally assumed that people are straight unless they indicate otherwise.

I agree with you 100 % but it does'nt bother me being a straight female that some of my favorite players may be a certain way you have to look at the person people should'nt be judging them that's what I mean by if they chose to be like that then it's a personal choice they are all grown women ya know holla

I meant that it should be up to the person to decide whether to make their sexual orientation public. If a person chooses to keep it a private matter, I don't think that it's right for other people to make it public for them. The choice should be theirs.

Sorry for the confusion.

I meant that it should be up to the person to decide whether to make their sexual orientation public. If a person chooses to keep it a private matter, I don't think that it's right for other people to make it public for them. The choice should be theirs.

Well, duh. I think most people are not in favor of public outings!

There's a growing contingent who support outing anti-gay gays...check this out:

Barney Frank's opinions on outing are often quoted as "The Barney Frank Rule."

Gay Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said he endorses the practice in limited circumstances. I am not inclined to do it, but I think if the congressman is rabidly anti-gay, its appropriate, Frank said. You dont have a right to be a hypocrite; you dont have a right to exempt yourself from the negative things you do to other people.

Wave of outings hits Congress, Washington Blade, Friday, June 18, 2004 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outing

In my day-to-day life, I'd never out another ordinary person. But when it comes to elected officials and others in positions of authority, if they are creating or cooperating with anti-gay laws or policies, I think outing them is quite appropriate. At the very least, don't sleep with your enemy!

Yeah, you'd think so. But from some of the comments that appear on this message board at times (including the initial post in this thread), sometimes I wonder.

I don't think we've ever gone overboard with this "issue" here. People get called out when they are getting carried away with information, if you know what I mean. After all, this isn't a gossip message board.

Iv'e heard of some players being married & swinging the other way. As well as some being gay & then getting married. We have a very diverse group of players. Of course these are just behind the scene rumors.

When Byers played in Sac. She had a little club going. Many players would come by after games, visiting teams as well.

OH. MY. GOD. you mean to tell me that people aren't either GAY or STRAIGHT!?! that there might actually be, like... i don't know... bi folks? queer folks? transgendered people? people who are into m2m sex but aren't fags? women who've had sex with other women but have never self-identified as lesbians, and not just because they are closet cases? damn. this sexuality thing really is complicated, isn't it?

Rolling Eyes

next time i come back here, you all might be arguing that "coming out" is a tyranical process that makes everyone feel like they have to have ONE sexuality for their whole lives -- absolutely and totally, one thing or the other. what is the world coming to?!?

we're drying out now. Grass is still somewhat squishy, but we're doing okay, thanks!

Missed out on UConn's supershow though due to not taking on the flooded roads, and there is a car sized sink hole on I-91 in Windsor, but I don't go that way to work Very Happy

lol, Well I didn't mean switched sides like that. Razz

But then again, VW's do have a similar reputation as Saturns, and Herrade did enjoy being a fellow Porsche driver for a day, so maybe it's relevant after all... Rolling Eyes Wink

You owned a Golf too BCBG? Shocked So what are you rolling in now? Wink Razz
