The New Orleans Hornets have traded guard Baron Davis to the Golden State Warriors for Dale Davis and Speedy Claxton, ESPN has learned

Awesome trade, if he's healthy. Baron and J-Rich will be an unreal backcourt.

Admiral, what do you think? Either the backcourt will be great, or we will have the Glorified And-1 Mix Tape Tour in the Bay Area.

I think it's great. As much as I liked Speedy and his small and short contract, he's still 5'10". I wish they would have included Derek Fisher instead... What were they thinking? Shocked Speedy would have been a great backup.

BTW, GSW almost included your guy, Dukeman Mike Dunleavy instead of Speedy. Luckily they didn't. That would have been a hose. They're still looking to trade him, but going to wait a year instead. Arrow

Unlikely, but Cleveland was probing... they got Jiri Welsh instead, another former GSW player. He was traded because his game was too much like Dun's. The Cavs likely now consider Dun to be the runner-up prize in the Michael Redd Sweepstakes. Things could change of course... like if Dunleavy learns how to shoot and lift weights between now and September Idea

Milwaukee cleared a shitload of cap space today to make room for Redd. Don't expect him to go anywhere I think.

Cleveland's cap will be ~25mil next season compared to MIL's $28mil, although CLE still has to resign Zydrunas Ilgauskas... However, playing with LeBron in Redd's home state are two big draws.
