Mashburn has been on the IR for as long as I can remember. He is good when healthy, but I don't know why they got him if they have Iguodala...

Yeah, and I'm glad Brad Miller is on my team for tonight. I just don't know when to pick Bibby, so I'm staying away from him.
Who needs him anyway when I already picked the BDPGITNBA.

He's done according to what I read. Not coming back....ever. Insurance will cove 80% of his salary. They wanted Rogers and had to give up the Dog's contract and take back Mash's as part of the deal.
Now my question is Rogers better than Williamson? If no, why was Williamson such a crucial part of the Kings trade?
More and more I don't get that C-Web trade, except "it's all about Peja". Not that I'm really complaining; Mobley and Mike B. look that much better for my team now! |
Except that you traded Brad Miller off your team! Of course, that trade makes this Webber trade look even more stupid I'm still in shock and awe...
Rogers' $2.7mil deal can come off the books at the end of this season if the Sixers choose not to resign him. Mashburn may still play, which would be nice to see. But even if Mash doesn't, the Sixers get another $10mil expiring contract in 2007 to use in a trade.
Unfortunately, they couldn't get much of anything for their expiring Glenn Robinson contract, so trading for a future expiring contract (~$10.5mil) seemed like the final option. Either way it doesn't matter... The Sixers will be over the cap (~$62mil before the Kyle Korver resigning) next year so just letting Big Dog's $12mil contract expire wouldn't help them any. It's not even a matter of money really, since as dtmns points out, 80% of Mash's contract can be covered by insurance.
Luckily the Sixers, unlike the Kings, have owners who don't mind spending the Big Bucks Hey Larry Ellison, you just failed to buy the Warriors, how about the Kings? We need an owner who considers a $80mil payroll to be 'no big deal' Paul Allen, you're welcome here too
I'll say it again: I'm hereby boycotting The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas lol

Except I got Mike Bibby and Ben Wallace; both have helped push me to 2nd place.
Bibby has been statistically amazing! His steals and assists, along with Billups, have kept me in it in those categories each week, plus his scoring, and 3's have helped me win those categories.
Wallace has given me the #1 and #2 rebounders in the league, plus my amazing Blazer, I'm winning offensive and total rebounding each week now.
I'd do the trade again under the circumstances, I had no real PG at the time.
