They started following me a while back and I looked up their site. They are NOT fans, the whole point (what was written at that time, don't know what it says now) was exactly that. One of those, "I don't like it, so it shouldn't exist" things, not snark and sarcasm like I originally thought.

I don't know if they're trying to switch up since people are just blocking them, but that's exactly what the purpose of the site was 2 weeks ago (or whenever I joined). If they stick with the a new approach, more power to them. But I can't blame them for blocking em.

Yeah, I'm thinking along the same lines. And the blog isn't very original at all. Rolling Eyes

That's the whole point of the "blocking" mechanism, and every Twitter use has that right - to stop the trolls, flamers, and whoever else from bringing you down with their negativity.

But, they can definitely view the WNBA twitter updates through public means, so I really don't see what the big deal is?!

UGH! Who schedules these damn events!?! Ill be at the effin' zoo w/ sth's all damn day! Today, I hate my job!!


I'll first point out that STHs are the most likely fans to be following you on Twitter. I can understand that this aspect of being on a professional sports team may not be your favorite, but would you say that directly to a fan? Or a reporter?

And, um, at least you're on a WNBA team (riding the bench, such as you are).


I must say I felt a little heartbreak for Mystic STH when I read that tweet.
I sent Nikki Blue a tweet to shine some of her "positivity" on K.Mann because I KNEW it offended the Mystics STHs. Confused

Kristen Mann! Shocked

thing is, most of the Mystics STHers are still at the STH event at the National Zoo (scavenger hunt with players, lunch, beautiful setting....all good). I didn't get to go to the event this year.

When the fans there get back and read what KM said, they will be even more pissed off than I am...I'd bet on it.

most of the Styx players are GREAT with the fans. Kristen's remarks really reflect negatively on the team. VERY STUPID of her! Rolling Eyes

Well, if it helps, she is the only Mystic on Twitter that I don't follow -- I am not a fan of hers, and could care less what she says. That said, she does need to grow up -- perhaps she could take some lessons from Nikki Blue, who remains supportive of her teammates, despite being personally frustrated by her lack of playing time.
