I'm rooting for CSKA and hoping for competetive. CSKA still seems to be recovering from the losing their sponsor and the new owners don't seem to want to replace Stepanova. They are playing a short roster and don't have near the depth Spartak has. Confused

I'm not actually worried about Spartak's title run this season. Laughing I'm more worried about the Storm and whole LJ situation.

I hope her injury is not serious, and she can play in the next game.

click the links here or just scroll down to see the boxscore posted in the thread - scroll down for some fabulous pictures from the game - since they don't like a lot of pictures posted here at reb.

Click here for some screenshots from the webcast of players and score/stats as well.
Thanks for the video, bahanee!!!

>>Can anyone translate this? Question

today the leader of russian basketball met face to face, in cska's place. but
there were no clear leader on the court. Spartak took the initiative initially, but
after a while CSKA started scoring from everywhere. in the 1st quarter CSKA won
it 25:17.everyone understood that red and blue were on the road to victory.
Spartak is not that easy.
Ratgeber Laslo started subbing jackson for syl and karpunina for miller and
vice versa. the feeling on the floor was that there was something not enough
for our team(Spartak). Shogoleva was not able to take to the floor although
she was there. At the break it was 41:41
after the break, lead kept changing. players kpt fouling, was it the refs problem or
was it just womens emotions running wild? I dont know. at the end sue bird fell to
the floor, she left the floor to rest, taurasi fouled out. CSKA scored 3 pts then
with 30 sec remaining, spartak attacking jackson got the ball but couldnt make
the 3 pinter. but the rebound ended up in Millers hands n she had 3 sec to attack.
but she seemed to not notice the seconds and didnt get a shot off.
CSKA won 76:73. making them the leaders in the Russian league.
Spartak coach said: playing with 7 players is very hard. but its not a catastrophe, with
3 minutes to go Bird injured her foot. I hope she will b fine. we made a lot of mistakes today
but we will learn from them and become stronger.

ok this is the full translation.. I tried my best.. hope its ok..
now if only I could get an A for my Russian language test.. then I would be happy
