yeah, i asked about her in the other thread. She is putting up huge numbers, but what will she play in the W?

She is listed as a 5'10" G/F. The article says she switched from G to F after the knee injury.

But can you play 3 at 5'10" in the W? Does she have the speed to play 2? Anyone have thoughts on this?

Ted:
She really is an intriguing player. I noticed she scored high in all of the efficiency ratings you posted the other day.
I think the days of the 5' 10" wing and 5' 3" point guard are over in the W. The article mentions she was a point guard in HS, perhaps she could be "converted" to a pro point guard.

...hope you're recovering from last night's "Spartanizing."

8^)

She was impressive when I saw her, but to be honest she looked like another very good college player to me.

Her size is definitely an issue IMO.

Hell, if she got drafted by New York, she could be 5'10" and play the PF!

I think it'll take a couple of years for the league to get taller in the perimeter positions. If nothing else, the lil ones serve a purpose in W advertising. Rolling Eyes

recovering my arse. I'm humiliated and angry.

Coach Graf was at the game checking out Janel. I don't know if the Merc will take her at 3, but just the thought of Janel having the opportunity to play with Diana and Penny (as opposed to the --- she plays with now) is enough to give me solace. That and several gins and tonic.

Well, that is what she plays for Vandy. I think she's that smallest power forward in the major conferences.
