COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Freshman Sylvia Fowles scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help No. 1 LSU shake off a slow start to beat South Carolina 66-36 on Sunday.

With the win, the Lady Tigers got a step closer to their first SEC regular-season title and also closed in on becoming the first team other than Tennessee to win the league title outright since Georgia in 1997.
