I've got until Monday to fill out my ballots, and I'm open to suggestion.

Each team got to nominate a player who best represents the "ideals of on-court sportsmanship."

Atlanta: Ivory Latta
Chicago: Armintie Price
Connecticut: Tamika Raymond
Detroit: Taj
Houston: PeeWee
Indiana: Allison Feaster (how could they tell? She barely plays)
L.A.: Keisha Brown
Minnesota: Kristen Rasmussen
New York: Cathrine Kraayeveld
Phoenix: Cappie Pondexter
Sacramento: Ticha Penicheiro
San Antonio: Vickie Johnson
Seattle: Sue Bird
Washington: Nakia Sanford

I always have trouble with this one because I don't see the nominees an equal amount of time.

I don't really know about this one. It's pretty hard to tell by just watching the games on tv. I think Taj won it before, so I'd probably go with Penicheiro.

Vicki Johnson. I think she's earned it for more than just this year.

Taj.

And if not Taj, then VJ.

Seriously, though, Taj has given her all through two unwanted trades this year, and never comes up anything but sportsmenlike. She is the clear winner, IMO.

My issue with Sue is her tendency to whine to the officials repeatedly.

Since Taj is with another team, what other Mystics player would be up for this honor?

And if Taj does somehow win this award, would it be credited to Detroit, or Detroit AND Washington?

If Plenette Pierson is considered, then I would nominate Candace Parker to be a co-winner! And then let's see if they fight over the award trophy! Razz

VJ.

Taj is great, but why give such an ambiguous award to the same person when there are so many "deserving" candidates.

I would prefer this to be a sort of veteran send off award. A sort of thanks for all your hard work and being a classy lady.

Well, if that's the case, then perhaps Lisa Leslie or Yolanda Griffith or Sheryl Swoopes or perhaps even Tina Thompson should get this award.
