GRAZIANE SUBSTITUI ÉRIKA NOS JOGOS OLÍMPICOS DE PEQUIM
GRAZIANE REPLACES ÉRIKA IN GAMES IN BEIJING OLÍMPICOS

Rio de Janeiro - The pivot Graziane Coelho will replace the pivot Érika de Souza in the Olympic Games in Beijing. A informação foi confirmada na segunda-feira pelo Departamento Técnico da CBB, após contato telefônico do empresário da jogadora Érika, Fábio Jardine. The information was confirmed on Monday by the Technical Department of the CBB, after telephone contact the owner of Érika player, Fabio Jardine. Segundo Fábio, a atleta estava se recuperando de uma fratura de stress e jogou domingo à noite uma partida da WNBA por sua equipe, o Atlanta Dream. According to Fabio, the athlete was recovering from a stress fracture of Sunday evening and played a departure from the WNBA for his team, the Atlanta Dream. Nos 31min19s que esteve em quadra, a Érika marcou nove pontos, pegou 11 rebotes e deu duas assistências. In 31min19s who was in court, the Érika marked nine points, took 11 rebounds and gave two assists. Após o jogo a atleta voltou a sentir fortes dores na perna. After the game the athlete again felt strong pain in the leg.

I will add that she was at the post-game ice cream social/autograph signing with the season ticket holders though. Not that means anything one way or the other.

Aww, I was hoping I'd get a chance to see her play.. Her health is more important though, so hopefully she'll be healthy when the W season starts back up..

I love, Desouza the Bruiser! Cool

that sucks for her, I've liked her every since she was a young rookie with the LA Sparks in 2002 and have tried to watch her international and overseas pro career...i was excited when she came back to the league although she was traded to the Connecticut, I'm glad shes back playing unforunately she won't be in Bejing, hopefully she will be able to get healthy and play in London

I understand the concern about her health. But she returned to the Dream before the Olympic break. I really wonder if there is a rift between the Brazilian coach and the players (ala Izzy Castro-Marques).
