Doesn't look good for Lindsay Davenport... Confused And I'm not talking about the miniskirt she's wearing.

What a boring match. After such a good tourney, that was a huge anticlimax with only that long game in the second set being a highlight. Best women's matches of the tourney was Davenport/Molik and Williams/Sharapova.

Too bad for both players that the story will be Lindsay shutting down. As a sucker for all things '96 Atlanta, I have been very excited by Lindsay Davenport's recent rise to #1.

Growing up in a contact, team sports world, tennis is still a bit odd to me. Not only does the non-winner (could never call Davenport a loser) receive a trophy but then has to address the crowd. That and the mystery of players hiding tennis balls up their skirts. Smile

Good thing Serena didn't wear that hideous shorts again. The faux skirt looked better. Lindsay is too big, awkward and clumsy and that outfit makes her even longer.
The last set was a rout, no fun. I'm pretty sure the men's game will be much more exciting. For more than one reason Wink

Yeah, but that bib that was attached to Serena's skirt was just as bad...

You and Marat, lol Wink

Men's tennis is a good source for eye candy (no, I'm not talking about Guga). And hey, I deserve better. After all, I'm used to soccer and its countless monsters (Beckham and Morientes notwithstanding).
The star on my team is an Argentinian player, Carlitos Tevez, some labeled him the best Argentinian player since Maradona. Now look at him...

Thank God for tennis!

Ouch! Twisted Evil So I take it you've never asked for his autograph, lol...

Ever think about being a guest judge on American Idol? Wink

BTW, I stayed up to watch the Championship match... That way I didn't have to keep on switching over to the Shaq vs Yao game today. I won't spoil the ending, but I'll just say that in the final speeches, someone forgot to thank that magic cream that got rubbed on his legs Razz Arrow

Shocked
