Andy, you've got the serve and the power - shame about the lack of mental toughness and discipline.

Go Lleyton!

More dubious umpiring and line calls tonight. Hmm it was the same umpire as the Davenport/Molik one. Who cares about the 'spirit of the game'; electronic aids are needed for line calls.

I agree, it happened in the Serena/Maria Full of Grunts match too. It went both ways, but still, some really bad calls.
Hewitt was at his aggressive, fist-pumping best against Roddick, and Mr. All Power and No Substance really disappointed me. I was hoping he would try the serve and volley thing, but he stuck to exchanging groundstrokes. And we know he CAN'T do that.
I wonder how many racquets Safin will smash against Hewitt. Should be a great game.
Two more days of 6 am wake up calls and afternoon naps. I kinda like it Wink

I don't think Roddick can serve and volley that well either. He looked really awkward when coming up to the net.

I thought Lleyton was rather muted, compared to his earlier matches. Then again, this WASN'T a five set marathon! It must be a refreshing change Wink

Seen in today's Sydney Morning Herald. I think it's hilarious.

Screaming match

A reader asks if we can picture a mixed doubles game with Maria Sharapova and Lleyton Hewitt on opposite sides of the net, yelling alternately at full throttle: "C'MON!!!!" "AAAAHH!!!" "COME ON!!!!" "AAAAHHH!!!" "COME ... ON!!!!" "AAAAA ... HHH!!!" No, we cannot imagine that, and we'll thank you not to bring it to our attention!

Well I think a lot of people would pay for that matchup to happen.. Idea

[b]Yeah, $2.99 the first minute, $1.99 each minute thereafter. Razz

I guess it's not that much different from the spectacle of the old Jimmy Connors vs John McEnroe matches... Confused

Hey, I get 6am wakeup calls everyday! Wink Believe me, it's an overrated experience, lol.
