Did last night's loss to Phoenix put the nail in Katie Smith's coffin?

Tina Thompson to the Charlotte Sting for Allison Feaster and next year's first round pick? Evil or Very Mad

It isn't Tina Thompson.

Again, see the player named in my first post...and think Eastern Conference.

Smith to Phoenix?? For what or whom-- DeForge and a draft pick? (I'm just guessing. Honestly, guv, I don't know nuthin'.)

I guess we'll know soon enough. The Lynx play Sunday night: if the trade deadline is Sunday, wouldn't the Lynx have to play without anyone they had already traded, and without anyone they had just traded for (since there wouldn't be time to work new players into the sets)?

Smith to Charlotte for Feaster plus McCarville. Or, Smith and Williams to Charlotte for Feaster plus McCarville plus a draft pick. Or, no McCarville, just Smith for Feaster plus draft pick. (Feaster DNP last night-- don't know if she's injured.)

Again, just guessing. I'm not against these trades at the moment. I bet Williams really doesn't want to go to Charlotte, though, not that it is or should be up to her.

Could it be Indy? Catch and Katie on the same team... that'd be killer.

Maybe Detroit? That would be my guess, but i don't know who they would trade in exchange for Katie. Maybe Chandi Jones + something?

Teams in the east that need a wing...

Question

Confused

The logical answer is New York. Crystal Robinson, Loree Moore, draft pick, something like that. Let C-Rob threaten the Lynx with retirement and Moore will never push Hammon out of the point anyway.

The Fever are a possibility too. They're the worst 3P% team in the league. Deal Deanna Jackson, Yolanda Paige, and a pick? I like that better than the NY deal if I'm Minnie. That would mean more Catch at the 4 and less Streimikyte on the floor.

Detroit wpuld have to give up Chandi Jones+, which would be paying too much IMO.

Connecticut just doesn't need Smith. Charlotte doesn't either. Neither does Washington, really.

Indiana needs a quality post and I think they should trade Deanna Jackson and Coretta Brown to Charlotte for either Smith or Sutton-Brown. I'm growing tired of Schumacher.

ESPN reports it as a swap of picks. Perhaps the Lynx are throwing in a second round pick.

After watching today's Shock at Sun game I can't see where Katie Smith will help Detroit out. Don't get me wrong and Smith is a hella of a basketball player but she would not start in the Shocks system.

Detroit currently has a great guard in Nolan who continues to excel and impress me with her talents and Powell is a quick as Nolan. The two of them had several fast-breaks in today's game.

If the Lynx make the trade I think that they will get the better of the deal.

Could the Shock be considering trading Katie and a pick for whoever gets #1?

That link now says Smith and a second round '06 pick for Chandi Jones, Stacey Thomas and a 1st round pick.

Thanks, though all the credit I get is picking it out. Smile It makes me smile whenever I see it so I thought I'd give other people a smile, too. It also pretty much reflects how much I know about the business side of basketball, so I thought it was appropriate, too!
