I said Becky managed more points than Penny when we played Phoenix. Not that she averaged more points than Penny.

Okay, gotcha. Sorry about that.

It's all good, buddy. But now that you know who the Beckytrice is, you can understand why this is such a relief!

Yes, it explains a lot!!!

On a related note, is this the first time a Liberty player has won POTW since Whitmore in 2002?

I don't believe that Penny has ever won a POTW either. There might have been one in 2002 when she was a little more consistant than she was in 2003 but it doesn't seem like she ever got recognition of that sort.

I have no problems with Becky winning the award. In fact, I'm quite pleased that she finally won the award. I can't say that I'm totally buying all of the arguements presented here as to why she deserved it more than PT (actually, Cam gave the best arguement for Becky. lol....then a few others re-stated what he said within the context of their own takes.) but I do believe that she was outstanding last week and is very deserving of the recognition she received today for her efforts. Someone had to win the award and at least it was 1 of the 2 best players during the week. The voters could have really taken a flyer and snubbed both girls. Afterall, Swoopes was on the ballot. (not that her week was chopped liver...it's just always so easy for the voters to see that name, or Leslie, or Jackson...and automatically vote for the name.)

I think the main thing was that Becky didn't lose this week, and Penny did..The winning bit seems to be a criteria for winning the award...but IMO, Penny deserved it last week...
