Since we're talking about NTs, FIBA has changed the World Champs format to have 4 groups in the preliminary rounds (we had 2 in the Olympics). Which means we could have more than 2 cities hosting the events (this is not good news for me as I can't be in 4 different places at the same time. Not that I could be in two, but flying to Rio would be easier).
Another change is that all FIBA events will now have 3 referees. Yes, they finally gave in to the NBA/WNBA rule. I just hope the WNBA adopts some of the international rules as well.
More to come when they realize we're just a year away from hosting the damn event and it's about time to have a website up.
