West Coast Swing to Challenge Sting

The Charlotte Sting are not in an enviable position this week.
-More than 6,000 miles of travel.
-Two likely playoff teams with 26 wins between them.
-Two games in two cities where the Sting are a combined 1-11 in franchise history.
-A nine-game losing streak on the road this season, and an 11-game road losing streak dating back to last season.

2006 #1 draft pick? Priceless...

Sting General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey said a trip like this is something the players must face to grow as a team.

“For a young team, playing this type of schedule at the end of a season is extremely difficult,” she said. “It is a learning experience for them. We fly to the West Coast, we come back, and then we go to Washington (next Tuesday). It’s a tough schedule, but it’s the only way that we’re going to learn.”

To think that they're only won twice since I saw them at the Coleseum.... Confused Well, maybe if they're blown out on those road trip games the young players will get some playing time....

No, no this is the perfect learning experience. They will learn what it's like to be Skycaps. How to carry the luggage around the country for the 5 starters so they aren't too tired out between games. Since they won't be playing much, they will be able to get in some heavy lifting during the road trip Razz
