It's doubtful, the boxscores were so inconsistent when they went to the new format, that I could never really get a handle on them, not to mention that it took forever to actually get the correct boxscores on the website.

I don't know what happened to them, but the boxes were solid for at least 7 years in a row, and then all of a sudden they basically went to shit last year, and the formatting changed from week to week throughout the season. I finally just gave up trying to read them, they were just too inconsistent.

So, has anybody heard or seen whether the WNBA will have an "official" game this year? Not that last year's game was any fun. Way too much luck and not enough skill.

I set up a group. Those from our fastbreak game and any others are welcome to join.

The group name is : Points Contributed and the password is musicman.

Rookie picks will earn double points and you can only pick a player once.

75 days of games and only 14 teams means you have to use and average of 5.3 players per team. I know I had a hard time finding enough decent players when I was figuring out who to use when.

Incidentally, I've already entered a player for each day.

I still don't like this annoyingly haphazard and luck-based game.

Thanks for setting up the group. I plan to join. But the other fantasy game was much more fun, more interesting, and required more thought than the Pick One game. The Pcik One game is based on luck more than anything else. But for lack of another option, I am in!

I can't blame reb for not wanting to run a league. I ran one last year and stats were a major nightmare. Running it again this year, with more stats. Shocked Good thing summers are pretty slow at work for me

I doubt I can work up a game this season, I'll try to study the boxscores and see if it's viable, but the way they were last year was a total nightmare and they were so slow, the official boxes didn't show up until the next day and sometimes they didn't show up at all. The numbers were totally undependable on wnba.com.

If the preseason is any indication, The boxscore problems have not been fixed. I tried to access a box score the other night after a game had long been completed and it was empty. No names, no statistics, no nothing. Hard to run a game based on accurate statistics when you can't get any with consistency.

As further proof of the lack of diligence at WNBA.com, The boxscore of LA/PHO shows CP with 19, 14 and 8. The Pick One challenge page still has 3rd quarter totals of 17, 12 and 7.
