Detroit Shock Signs Sheila Lambert For Remainder Of Year

By a Detroit Shock Press Release: July 17, 2005

Detroit Shock Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Bill Laimbeer announced today that the team has signed guard Sheila Lambert to a contract for the remainder of the season. The 5-7 Lambert originally signed a seven-day contract with Detroit on July 11.

Why would they sign Lambert for the rest of the season? What does this mean for EP? Should we be reading something into this action? In other words, will EP finally be getting the professional help we believe she needs?

Curiously enough, Powell isn't listed on the Shock's current roster. Of course Niele Ivey and Ayana Walker are listed, so it may not mean anything, but it's still curious.

i'm not sure what roster you're looking at. on the shock website, niele and ayana have been gone from the roster for some time.

also, for anyone who knows, i'd heard that niele was only signed to a 7 day contract with phoenix. is that true or not? thanks.

didn`t they change her staus to suspended, so she can`t be on the roster

i apologize, pilight, for doubting you. this is very odd though because i'm positive that right after Niele got waived she was taken off the roster and so was ayana. i checked that when it happened.
