But if you're not just talking about this game, are you really going to pretend that this isn't how Detroit plays every game all season long?
Some people are acting like they've never seen Katie Smith elbow someone in the face until these playoffs. Well, she does. She knows it. She doesn't care.
This is how Detroit plays, it's nothing new, and they are proud of it. They sometimes seem more proud of the things they do to the other team (and how they can goad them into a reaction) than they are with the win itself. I don't know why their fans bother to get so defensive about it. That's got to be exhausting.

Hilarious. But I gotta disagree about something-

The Ancient Art of Flopping (as perfected by Plenette Pierson) |
Sorry, but the one who perfected flopping was Tari Phillips. From the way she would start the flop when there was still a foot of space, to the inhuman arch in the back, to the waving of arms wildly, and for the final touch - that look of surprise and disgust on her face as she lay on the floor, another tragic victim of Debbie Black. No, no one did it like Tari. Her flops had such style and hutzpah, that you simply couldn't get mad, you would just laugh in disbelief. Plenette's flops are more workmanlike by comparision, they get the job done, but they're no Picasso.

Mery? Mery Merphy?
Maybe in addition to the yearly MIP, ROY etc., there should be QOF (Queen Of Flops). That player who demonstrates a light breeze can have a surprisingly devastating impact.

No, no, think Portuguese, think Penicheiro. Think Maiga-Ba, Machanguana, Berthieu.
Cam pictured her. Liberty fans, especially, appreciated her (cough) (watch that plane you'll get hit!) Rockers fans adored her.
(Sniff) I'm getting misty-eyed here.
