Reb .. I haven't had time to check the boards lately and only see pilight's post regarding the fantasy game for 2007. Are you going to be setting it up again this year?

Not sure I'm going to be able to get the game going this year, the boxscores have changed and I'll have to write new routines to incorporate them, I might have a second half challenge, but I can't promise that either. I'll try to get it worked out, but I need to work with the newer style boxscores before I commit to a game.

I'll try, but I'm not sure I can get everything situated and in place by the start of the season

We could all just pick up with it whenever you get it completed. Might give us a chance to scope out the talent in the early games anyway!

i'm not sure there's anything that could be done without being connected to your techdom, reb, but you know you have some help out here if you need it.

yeah, I know Bibb, but the way things are written and tied together, it's pretty much an automated process and there isn't much that could be done individually. Maybe I'll just start the game and the scoring may be delayed, like the first results may not be out for a few days, I've got to redo some logic, because of the way the player's names are being displayed and the different format of the boxscores, I'll have to modify the program that reads the boxes pretty extensively. We'll try, I'll at least have some of the exhibition boxes to work with.

Reb, if there's a way to just get the rosters in, I guess we can live without the scores for as many days as you want...we all know how to calculate them anyway.
I don't know, whatever you can do, buddy. In any event, I've already booked my room in the rehab facility for Fantasy Game addicts. Laughing

I'll try to work on it this weekend, hopefully we can get something going in the next week or two, I want to feel comfortable with things, and then I would like to give a week or so notice that we're going to start the game.

I promise I'll try to work on it, I just want to work with the boxscores a bit before I commit to the whole shooting match.

reb thanks for thinking of us. It doesn't get said nearly enough how lost we'd be without your efforts with this board and everything that goes with it.

On a similar note, how we doing $$$ wise? Do you need us to make more contributions? Start another round as it's a new season?

Appreciate the thoughts, we're ok financially, the ads have helped a lot, they won't generate enough to move to a high octane website, but I think this place will suffice ok, as long as we keep the off site avatars I don't think we'll have any major problems. I really had no idea how hard of a hit on the website the onsite avatars were causing.
