C. Vivian Stringer became the fourth coach in women's college basketball to win 700 games in her career as No. 20 Rutgers defeated visiting Princeton last night, 68-46.

The only coaches ahead of her on the career list in N.C.A.A. Division I are Tennessee's Pat Summitt (856), Jody Conradt of Texas (851) and the retired Sue Gunter of L.S.U. (708).
