"Cloud has a great off arm. She does tend to swing it. Nothing intentional". Color commentator Charli Turner Thorne talking about Copper getting hit in the face by Cloud. It gets reviewed and Cloud gets a technical foul.

NY have not been bad by any means, but Mercury shooting the heck out of it so far.
60% FG and 52% 3P

Sami was 10/42 (24%) from outside the arc across the first 8 games. Since then she is 19/41 (46%)

16 threes in 3 quarters by Phoenix, but Stewie has kept NY within striking range if the deluge starts to dry up

The Merc are cookin! “Shooting the stuffing out of the ball” per CTT. I don’t know what that means but it’s definitely good.

NYL are obviously a bit off without JJ and Fiebich, but I agree Phoenix looks pretty legit. AT never gets enough love. It’s fun to see her serving up shooters.

She is so good at making this team tick.

Could very easily have had another triple-double tonight.
1 rebound away and was subbed out with 3 minutes left in the game.

Really solid win. One we needed to get. Absolutely have to take advantage when you get an opportunity against a team that is missing key players.

Are we ready to call Phoenix a title contender? They look the part...surely a lot more than Vegas at the moment, who I think most figured would/should be #3. I don’t think Seattle or ATL are there.

...and this is before the prospect of adding DB.

Mercury are so fun to watch.

One of the reasons for that is they play like the Pacers - where they all legitimately don’t care who scores. They take the good shot. The style of play is contagious.

If DB joins, I don’t think she’ll hurt the chemistry. DB has never had an issue respecting her role and being a team player prior to this season, so I don’t by the narrative that she suddenly has now.

Phoenix is good. Interesting that the NBA background took a year to pay off -- or so it appears.

And the Libs are missing a big piece in JJ.
