ND looking a lot more like themselves after their extended break. They're sharing the ball and the scoring, and playing terrific energetic defense.

At the half Citron has 11, Westbeld 10, Karlen 9, Hidalgo 8 and Miles already has 6 assists. As a team they have 7 steals (HH 3) and 6 blocks.

Halftime score ND 46 SFA 25.

Mid 3rd Q, ND has 3 straight steals before SFA could get across the center line leading to 8 straight points. Hidalgo and Citron wreaking havoc.

Score now 67-33.

Miles just twisted her ankle. Hopefully it's not serious.

It is absolutely dead silent for the first time today in the Purcell Center.

She's walking unassisted. I suspect she's done today.

Looks like she stepped on a SFA players foot and twisted her ankle.

Miles went back to the locker room. Nice to be playing at home and have access to your own full medical staff and equipment.

Sarah Cernugal in the game along with Prosper and Karlen. Looks like Citron and Westbeld are finished.

Now another walkon, Luci Jensen just came in for Hidalgo.

About 5 minutes to go, it's 95-45.

Walkon Luci Jensen just hit a 3 - her first points in her career were in the NCAA Tournament. Jensen lined the team early during the season when injuries had decimated the ND lineup. And now Cernugel scored an old style 3 point play.

Bella Tehrani, the last walkon, has now scored, making it EVERYONE on the roster.

ND has two Canadians and a Ukranian on the floor.

All 11 players scored. Final score, 106-54.

Yikes! Then the Irish will probably stop receiving any federal funds for student loans. Dark times.

Pretty sure nobody is going to be receiving funds for student loans since all the people who handle that have been laid off.

Hmmmm.

Apparently, you're not one of THESE fans, who didn't think so much of coach Ivey's "keep 'em all in the game, damn the score!" strategy. Gotta say, that WAS a bit much, and it almost cost her a player named Miles.

I had no problem with Niele leaving her in. When you think about the way that ND played 3 of their last 5 games and that Liv hadn't made a FG in the game, I get why Niele left her in.

I could hear the players were laughing during the dead ball, so I'm not worried about people that have little idea what they are talking about vs. Niele. They're the same people that would have bitched if Niele HAD taken her out and she or the team sucked in the next game. They would have been saying that she needed to keep her in "to get the rust off" or something.

In this day and age, I don't necessarily doubt that, but....how can you be so certain? I'm not plugged into any ND fan boards/social media, so I have no clue about the reality of it all.

Very much NOT an Irish fan but any article that uses tweets as a source is a red flag. Also, no one speaks or writes like this:
They Ladyjacks had taken an early lead at 6-0. But that was the most the Fighting Irish were ever letting their opponents relish. Once the score tied 8-8, they never looked back. They had the Ladyjacks figured out, outclassing the number 13 seed with ease.

The article later said Miles would be “soar”. Sports Illustrated pushes out very similar shitty AI content.

😂😂I saw that gaffe, too.

Personally, I have at least one bracket with ND winning it all.....and I don't doubt that possibility, if they regain their peak performance once more. I really hate to see any team lose out cuz of any injury at this point.

I'm re-watching the 4th quarter of this game.

First: Great play by Cass Prosper making the steal near the hash. She saved the ball in bounds by bounce passing it behind her back to Hannah. HH was down near the block area when the play started. When Cass first made contact with the ball, HH started running toward her. When Cass made the pass, HH was even with her. Took off for a layup, and 1. Cass tipped the ball at 5:00. At 4:59:??, she had it in her hands and was headed out of bounds. Also at 4:59:??, HH had the ball and was on her way! The reaction to the tipped ball by HH was amazing. The pass by 6'3" Cass was equally as amazing.

Second: Pam Ward is too funny.

SFA's Faith Blackstone goes to the line and Pam says something about this being Faith's last collegiate game. Then she lists off the schools that Faith has played for: Syracuse, NC A& T, "some sort of junior college", Coppin St, and SFA.

"Some sort of junior college" is CCBC Essex - Community College of Baltimore County Essex. I'm sure that they're not happy with Pam, but it made me laugh.
