Could this become a trend??

As part of the House vs. NCAA antitrust lawsuit settlement, collegiate programs agreed to share up to 22% of revenue with student-athletes. This revenue-sharing program goes into effect on July 1.

IU Athletics said $20.5 million has been added to the budget in anticipation of revenue sharing. After searching for ways to cut costs in preparation for this “new world of intercollegiate athletics,” the decision was made to eliminate 25 positions.

It is going to be the new reality. Oklahoma State and several other D1 schools issued statements saying cuts were going to be made in order to remain competitive.

IMO, this is the decision that will force Congress to step in and set a nationwide standard that is more favorable for schools. There's way too many state schools in red and blue states that are going to get hammered into irrelevance by this decision for action not to be taken.
