Actually, it's on the Big 10 channel (Channel 610 on Directv).
It's 15-14 in favor of Oregon at the end of the first quarter.
Looks like Oregon re-painted its hideous floor and it looks much better (I know what it was trying to do with the old one, but it was hard to look at).
Sabrina Ionescu is at the game and apparently will be interviewed soon, per the announcers.

Yeah, I'm streaming it on the Big Ten network via Sling. I know, their floor is a shock to the uninitiated fan, but .... ya get usta it.🫣😝😁
No, I saw the intentional push - just glad the REFS did, too.
I'm really liking this new Oregon team. It helps a lot, too, that they finally have a full crew of healthy and talented players! 😎
I'm a little underwhelmed by Vonleh - season is young 'n all, but she certainly seemed to be a bigger force last year for Colorado.

Pretty funny the BTN propaganda.
Talked about Maryland's and USC's and Ohio St's wins and UCLA''s "huge" win over Colgate, with an emphatic "so the Big 10 looking tough!" while conveniently forgetting to mention Northwestern losing to Lehigh and Purdue getting obliterated by Notre Dame. So's that's your BTN halftime sports report.
Edit: And did you know that this would be a huge win for Oregon because "Baylor is a GREAT team!"
I'm not convinced, from what I see.

Well, they BARELY did it. Blew a 16 pt lead and still pulled it out. Kelly's a tad slow on his in-game adjustments these days - I can't believe he didn't respond faster to Baylor's full court pressure, when they forced so many turnovers during that stretch....AND didn't get too excited when the Ducks started getting sloppy with unforced TOs. But. A win is a win, and they needed this one.
This Duck team shows a lot of promise to anyone who followed them last year; so much more leadership and chemistry. If ONLY they could get Kyei to be a FORCE. I mean, it's her senior year - she should be killin' it by now, but she's just not blossomed as much as we'd hoped.
Indeed, it IS a "Big Win" for Oregon - regardless of Baylor's true quality, they ARE ranked #12, and Oregon has had a dismal past 12 months, with zero wins over anything ranked.
Re: the announcers blathering....yeah, a little hyperbole, but they also know who's handing out the paycheck. Just be glad Mary Murphy wasn't there.

It's almost like the Big Ten Network is run by the Big Ten and those commentators are Big Ten employees. I can't imagine why the Big Ten is promoting itself on its own network ...

Actually it's majority owned and run by Fox, which explains a lot.
Contrast that with the ESPN-owned ACCN which did in it's post game coverage include ND football's 52-3 beat down of Florida St Saturday. In football, ND is not an ACC team, but FSU is. One of the ex-player commentators groaned "we're the ACC network, we should just skip this one" when the video started but the moderator said. No no, we cover ALL the games involving ACC teams." It's only the B10/FOX network that cherry picks only the B10 wins and pretends the losses never happened.
They force non-B10 fans to pay for the BTN as part of their TV package. Maybe all those paying customers expect them to cover ALL the games. They ought to pretend to have at least some shred of journalistic integrity and cover ALL the games involving B10 teams. A fan checking to see scores and highlights is SOL if the B10 team lost. And in these days of sports betting on your cell phone, a LOT of people DO want to see coverage of the losses too. Hey, if they don't show it, I guess it never happened. Do Fanduel and BetMGM refund your money if the BTN decides the game never happened?

The Big Ten owns 39% of the network, not all of it. But that is still a large ownership stake. In contrast, the ACC owns none of the ACCN.
A lot of what else is in your post is nonsense. No one is forced to pay for the BTN package. You can choose which package you want based on offerings and cost (which is, of course, how TV packages have always worked since the first days of cable) - no one is forced to purchase anything. I, for one, don't have the BTN.
And of course the BTN shows scores from all games and doesn't pretend they don't exist. There is a continual scroll of scores. Just because they don't break down and game or show highlights doesn't mean it is somehow hidden. The idea that a gambler can't find information about games if they aren't a BTN halftime report is just silly, as is the idea that a network has some sort of more obligation to serve gamblers.
I couldn't care less what the BTN does, but this is a bizarre thing to be this worked up about.

That is entirely false. That was the entire purpose of adding Marlyand and Rutgers - to expand the footprint and add millions of mandatory customers. The BTN has always required that it be included as part of the BASIC tier for ALL cable customers in the conference footprint. And that battle played out again this year in Calfornia Washington and Oregon. Comcast wanted BTN to be part of its premium tier in those states so that only customers in those states who wanted BTN had to pay for it, while Fox insisted it be included in in the BASIC tier for EVERY customer in those states as it requires and gets everywhere else and once again, Fox prevailed.
If you live in a B10 footprint state, you do NOT get to opt out. That is the fundamental rule underpinning the entire BTN profitability model.

No, it isn't false. People are dropping cable in higher and higher numbers each year. NO ONE is require to purchase it or the BTN.

If "basic tier" means the lowest-priced package in Cable-Land, I DO know that for a number of years, my local cable company did NOT provide BTN as part of basic anything, much to the chagrin of my fellow local Pennsylvanians. This a number of years back, when the many streaming options weren't yet available. Sattelite/Dish TV was needed for that. This may/may not have changed IFF you're one of the 17 people left here who still subscribe to cable....I don't know. We're served by a small company in this locale, BRCTV (and none others available at this point - it's an infrastructure thing, I'm told)

Yeah, you can drop the BTN by dropping cable or satellite completely. I suppose you could get rid of your TV entirely and never have to worry about it. So you're technically correct.... no one has to pay a nickle for any pay tv. Now tell that to the 68 million households that still have traditional cable/satellite.
There are hundreds of articles going back years explaining this issue, but here's a recent one about the Fox-Comcast agreement, from siliconvalley.com:

"Comcast and Fox reach agreement, ending Big Ten Network blackout on West Coast
The resolution comes in time for the Big Ten basketball season
By Jon Wilner | jwilner@bayareanewsgroup.com | Bay Area News Group
UPDATED: October 14, 2024 at 11:47 AM PST
The carriage dispute that seemingly had no end in sight came to a surprising conclusion Thursday when Comcast announced the Big Ten Network will be available on a basic tier along the West Coast.
The company issued the following statement:
“We’re pleased the Big Ten Network will be available to Xfinity TV customers who subscribe to the Popular TV package in Oregon, Washington, and California in time for the action this weekend.”
And so ends a dispute that began prior to the football season and forced Comcast customers throughout the region to seek alternate means of watching their teams on the Big Ten Network.
USC, Oregon and Washington had football games blacked out because Fox, which owns the Big Ten Network, insisted the programming be placed on a basic tier on Comcast systems once those schools, along with UCLA, joined the conference in August.
(That is standard practice for Fox with all distribution partners once new members begin competition in the Big Ten.)
Not wanting to pay the additional cost that comes with distribution on basic tiers — and gets passed on to customers whether they want the Big Ten Network or not — the media giant declined. Comcast held out for five weeks.
The resolution comes in advance of the basketball season, when dozens of games involving the West Coast quartet are scheduled for broadcast on the Big Ten Network."
‐----------------
This is also why the PAC12 network, and thus the conference itself, failed. The PAC Network tried to insist on the same mandatory basic tier inclusion, but because they insisted on owning their own network and refused to partner with a big network like the BTN (Fox) or the SECN and ACCN (ESPN/Disney), they didn't have the leverage to force the big carriers to take the sports network on their terms or lose all of the other Fox or Disney channels, and many carriers, most notably Directv, refused. So they never got enough penetration to succeed.

Then you can choose to watch their halftime highlights or you can choose not to. And if you are a gambler you can choose to use it as your only source or information, or you can choose inform yourself in other ways as well.
Or you can choose to not care about what is in the halftime highlights of a cable network. And I can choose to not care about any of this nor to engage further about it.

If you live in a state with a Big Ten school in it, BTN is on your basic cable. Otherwise you can choose to have it or not. If you don't get your TV through cable, you have more flexibility.
The slow reduction of cable installations is going to eventually hurt the Big Ten's revenue model, but for now it is still chugging along strong.

I've long enjoyed YouTubeTV for the past several seasons. One of its most convenient features (including the BTN) is that I could sign on in November, and cancel in April - I ONLY needed it for my NCAA basketball season. There was always a gracious 'welcome back anytime' kinda parting.
THIS year, the day after the Final Game, I did the same thing, BUT....EVERY MONTH SINCE THEN, THEY HAVE BILLED ME THE $77.37. I had my bank card dispute each one, and they come back with telling me "google" insists I'm still signed up with them. "Can you contact the merchant to resolve this?" NO, I CANNOT. Have you ever tried to reach "Google" for customer service? GOD couldn't do it. I have had my card pulled from their access (I thought) but they just billed me for October! 😮😵💫 There HASTA be a way to stop this....I just don't know what it is.

Well, that sucks!
I don't plan to cancel anytime soon because the streamer meets my needs perfectly! It shouldn't be that hard.
Anyway...basic YouTubeTV has the ACCN network, all the ESPNs except +, NBA TV, my local station where the Sky games are broadcast, and a number of other sports channels. You can add on others and cancel them at any time. There is an unlimited virtual DVR and you can program it to record anything you want (e.g., groups of games); you have nine months to watch them at your leisure.

Well, thank you. How simple, right?? 🤔
Try it. It'll treat you no differently than it does me (I think?) No MATTER which link/button you click on, it only brings up a "Free Trial" screen. I've done this umpteen times, but all roads lead back to the "Free Trial" offer. Now, one might conclude that maybe, just MAYBE I no longer have a subscription. How NICE. But I thought I enacted that back in April, yet they continue to bill me.

Anyway...basic YouTubeTV has the ACCN network, all the ESPNs except +....... |
This two-compartment ESPN streaming seems to confuse people all the time. You see posts saying a game is "on the ESPN app" but that's true only if you have the correct subscription.
Originally, if you were paying for ESPN as part of your TV subscription, your provider was including ESPN streaming for you as part of its contract with Disney/ESPN. You got everything. And when ESPN started forcing providers to pay for the SECN and ACCN as part of their ESPN contracts, you got those streaming also along with an increasing number of non-televised ACC and SEC games. There were also games streamed by ESPN that were neither on TV nor SEC/ACC games that were designated as ESPN3 games (which still exist but rarely).
Then ESPN started contracting with mid major leagues and came up with a new moneymaker which they called ESPN+ and which required a seperate streaming-only pay subscription and was NOT included in the ESPN streaming package provided by your TV provider.
So now you have to know which side of that aisle a game is on. On one side you get access via your TV programming provider to games broadcast on or designated as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNNEWS, ESPN3, ABC, SECN, and ACCN, plus SECNX and ACCNX (which are conference games not being shown on the respective cable network, the X standing for "extra"). On the other side are a whole bunch of mid-major and other games that are streamed and designated as ESPN+, and for which you need a seperate paid ESPN+ subscription.
From the beginning I've gotten access to ESPN streaming games, and later ACCN and SECN games, through Directv. When ESPN+ was started, I lost access on the ESPN App to the ESPN+ games, and thus could not watch some ND out-of-conference road games. But basically, because I could watch most of what I wanted after Christmas through the ESPN, ACCN and SECN access, plus other games on TV on Fox or the BTN, I didn't worry about it. (only the absence of PAC network games was annoying). Then last year, when I upgraded my Verizon cell phone plan, they threw in a free Disney+ subscription for as long as I kept that plan (we'll see how long that actually continues, but it did survive a phone upgrade this year, so so-far-so-good). Disney+ bundles Disney, Hulu and ESPN+ subscriptions.
But the two halves are still completely unrelated. When I install the ESPN App on my phone, tablet, Ruku or Fire, I need to seperately (1) log into the app through Directv to give me access to the ESPN, SEC and ACC content, and (2) then go to settings and log into my Disney+ subscription to get the ESPN+ content. Interestingly, some games end up with two seperate listings in the app schedule - one designated as ESPN+ and one designated as ACCNX or similar. And also interesting that a few days ago, a game that worked one way kept freezing with a "network error" message the other way. I would have thought the feed was the same, but I guess it isn't.
So now I get more games than I could ever watch in multiple lifetimes, and best part, I'm not paying anything extra beyond what I was already paying for TV and cell phone service. And there is no PAC network any more. So the only thing I'm really missing are BTN+ games, but I get the B10 games that matter on TV on the BTN or Fox or other network (and can watch Directv from anywhere on the Directv app on my phone and tablet and Roku and Fire also). I think I'm set for the season.

I start the BTN app subscription in November and cancel in February so I can get those + games.
