Its been a while since I have posted here.
A few of you may know that I did a book on the barnstorming era, when women would travel the country and play only against men and by their rules.
Barnstorming America, Stories from the Pioneers of Women's Basketball.
It included stories from many of the players from that era as well as a few from the WBL and even Donna Orender (who also did my foreword).
The book now is in Hollywood with a couple of producers. A screenwriter has done a script and a A big Hollywood Director who has had multiple feature films premiere at Sundance and SXSW has jumped on board after reading my book!
I have read and as a person who knows this era very well, it is spot on!!
Several production companies interested in reading the script and I think many here would know them.
Nothing is a sure thing, but for women's basketball fans, this could be really nice. If you liked A League of Their Own, I think you might enjoy this as well.
It is available on Amazon.

Thanks very much.
The producers and everyone are very positive. time will tell.
I would be thrilled for all of the players and family still around.
things have picked up a bit. I was flown down to Orlando to do some other work on a documentary specifically on a couple of players, one that scored over 25,000 points in her career. |

Best wishes on this project. I'm wondering how big of an impact The Caitlin Clark Phenomenon and its sudden rise in the Public Discourse may have influenced movie execs in the motivation to consider such a project.

When we talk, they say the same thing. The timing is very good right now and it is helping with interest from production companies wanting to see the script and eventually the buyer for it. |
