It really IS much easier to follow T-Rump's stories about downsized Tic-Tacs 'n the annoyance of resource-saving faucets 'n electric-powered boats sinking 'n eaten pets 'n Wind Mill Cancer 'n, 'n, 'n.....EVERYTHING that's "hahrubble, just hahrubble. No one's ever seen anything like it before".

Tough to figure out where you'll find more shit: on the transcripts of his speeches or the towels they put down on white furniture when he sits for interviews. đŸ˜«

Just keep on pretending this isn't happening, I guess. Same with the ads. Keep your focus on the voters you don't like since it seems to be what the people you're supporting are doing.

There's also something amusing to me about a narrator pronouncing someone's name 2 different ways within the first 20 seconds of their piece.
(Did it get better after that? 20 seconds was all I lasted. It sounded like bad AI)

I voted for Chase Oliver. Unlike the Republicans, I actually favor less government intrusion in people's lives.

You're doing a lot of projecting there.

I would love to hear your take on why Chase Oliver is the candidate of less government intrusion in this race.

Since 2015 I’ve argued that Donald Trump’s popularity is primarily due to the country’s racism.

I would like to thank the Trump campaign today, for once again proving me right.

I early voted last Friday. It was the first day and opened at 11. I thought I was going to walk in and vote right away; I ended up in line for over 2.5 hours.

There was a woman that had just voted and asked the polling attendant why there was no Trump signs outside. They told her they don't control the signs.

After she left someone said "we don't want them here". We all had a good chuckle.

I don't know if there actually was not any Trump signs, I knew how I was voting so didn't pay attention.

It’s so depressing in so many ways. I truly hope we close the Donald Trump chapter in American history next week, but he dragged us about 100 years backwards.

Only 100???

I would have said more like 200.

"Backwards"?? It feels more like he and his legion of deplorables have dragged us into a parallel universe that makes the Twilight Zone feel like a church picnic.

Neil deGrasse Tyson sums it up well:
"How sad it must be - believing that scientists, scholars, historians, economists and journalists have devoted their entire lives to deceiving you, while a reality TV star with decades of fraud and exhaustively documented lying is your only beacon of truth and honesty."

"Sad" hardly covers it Neil, but....you've hit the nail on its fat orange head.

It's pretty much by default. It's not the candidate who wants the government to 'protect' people "whether they like it or not" and it's certainly not the one who thinks it's ok for the government should have the right to seize people's property just for being suspected.

For the life of me, I don't know how anyone can vote for Trump. I just can't.

Quote:
That moment is seared into my memory. I can recall every detail of the room we were in, the fear on the poor child’s face, the comforting sound of the director’s voice as she tried to calm her.

I remember sitting in my car outside the convent, crying and enraged. My country had done this. My country had ruined this child. And for no damn reason.

It was pure cruelty from the minds of anti-immigrant zealots who saw migrants as “others” unworthy of basic human decency. That was the moment I knew I would never forgive Trump. For all the chaos he went on to cause, all the lies, all the bullying and even bloodshed, that was the nadir.

Is anyone receiving political mailings?

I haven't received any this year. I've seen more commercials on TV than in years past, but the lack of mailings kind of has me puzzled.

I've gotten a few, but the number is way down from last time.

Any idea why? Have they just figured out that people throw them away without looking at them?

If this is a nation wide trend, it has to be a huge hit to USPS.

I wish they would stop. I've thrown away at least three dozen in the last month. In a discussion on Facebook, a postal worker said it was a pain to deliver them and wished they'd stop too.

I can't recall any recent mail arrivals. Wow, the NCAA football games have certainly been filled with them.

The new trend on Twitter is Peanut the Squirrel and Fred the Racoon.

I’m as Democrat as they come, but unless I’m missing something - that was incredibly messed up and super sad.

Some beautiful calming (yes, a little sad) music for what I believe could be a very rough patch for many of my old friends here.

They were calling the gov and Senate races in Indiana just minutes after the last few polls closed.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. I think I'll go to the store and get gallons of my favorite ice cream flavors. And maybe a cheesecake to put them on.

Nothing called so far should be a surprise. Harris is leading in North Carolina, and Pennslyvania, while #45 is leading in Georgia.
