The Aflac trivia question in the Ion pregame show is "How many teams have had back-to-back rookies of the year?"
A: 2
Jewell Loyd, Breanna Stewart (both #1 picks) for Seattle
Naphessa Collier, Crystal Dangerfield for Minnesota (#6 and #16)

Gainbridge will be less than half full after the Olympic break.

Or more than half empty if you're a pessimist

Way to fuck up refs, and essentially ice Clark.

Maybe. My guess is that place has already seen its best crowds of the season.

The 0-5 Indiana Fever won their 3rd game last year:

Is Jason Sudekis the WNBA's #1 celebrity fan? He was just in the New York Liberty stands and now he is at the LA game.
Clark ends the half 0 for 4 from three, 2 of 7 overall.
Looks like Brink and Fagbenle could swap any outfit and it would fit perfectly.

Was that Ivory Latta behind the Thompsons? Shown at around :20 in the second quarter.

Not a huge fan of the "defender's neck fouled the shooter's extended off-arm" call. Coach Miller is fortunate he didn't get T'd up, but the sequence may have helped LA as Clark's frustration boils over.

Clark now only needs 2 points and 2 assists for a TD.

Really gritty performance from CC and finally a nice game from Boston. Hope this gets them going.

Just too bad they get LV on the road Saturday!

NaLyssa Smith's defense was so bad Christy Sides went to Tami Fagenble -- and Tami made the move look like genius.
And Rickea Jackson also has no idea how to defend, thus the limited minutes despite her undeniable offensive skills.
Big shots from Clark, but when Cameron Brink quits committing stupid fouls the Sparks won't lose that game. (Of course, that could be 2020.)
Kia Nurse and Lexie Brown were simply awful. The Sparks don't have a lot of ways to score, especially starting Clarendon. But Jackson kills them at the other end.

Yeah, Smith looked bad early on. Losing Hamby around the basket is not a good look. Glad Boston finally had a good game. This is the first game I’ve been able to watch so I’m not sure what’s been up. Glad Clark was able to be a good facilitator and able to turn over scoring duties to others. Each player had their moments to shine. Why was there talk about not much practicing? Is that due to injuries or the packed schedule or both.
As for the Sparks, thank goodness for Hamby. The maturity and presence and talent were big. Brink showed flashes of what she will be. But yeah gotta stop the cheap fouls. Not sure what Nurse and Brown were doing. I appreciated Clarendon on the Dream several years ago. Now, I wonder why McDonald and Cooke aren’t playing more. Miller needs to work with Jackson on defense.
Congrats Fever, glad you got your first win.

The Fever have played more games than any other team (6). Wash., Sea and NY have played 5. Some have only played 3. Until the games at Seattle and LA, the Fever had had to travel between each game ([ exh: at Dallas, home], at Con, home, at NY, home, at Seattle, at LA, at LV).
I thought that I heard that since training camp they have had two practices. They opened on the 14th. Then played on the 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th and will play again on 25th.
Not sure what the WNBA had in mind for them, but it has pretty much sucked to be treated that way. I realize that the season has had to be compacted due to the Olympics, but come on!
AFAIK, Mitchell was the only onethat missed any time due to injury.
