UConn ahead 15-10 at Q1 in a game characterized by poor shooting and too many TOs by both teams.

Could we borrow the girl that keep blocking Aaliyah for the tournament?

Paige is having a Diana type game…with the refs.

35-24 at the half. Same comments as for Q1 plus too many fouls by both teams. Miss, whistle, turnover, miss, whistle . . . etc. . . offenses.

Paint Bueckers playing the 5 well. No sign of Brady in the half even though Edwards was clearly getting tired.

47-35 late in the 3rd.

This game became a mess when the refs put 2 Vill players on the bench right at the start with 2 fouls. They may have set the record for most fouls called away from the ball tonight.

Vill. is the 50th best team in the country, (Massey/NET) I counted 5 SEC teams lower in the rankings. They struggle to score but they scrap well.

But UConn has Bueckers.

Nova closes within 7. UConn has no team offense. Just try to toss it into Edwards or watch Bueckers create. This adumbrates a lugubrious future for UConn with one regular season game to go.

The reason is mediocre 3pt shooting. Bueckers isn't hitting 3's but I'm not worried that that will last long. I'm happy to trade a slump now for peak play in March/April.

As I type Shade nails a 3 and UConn leads by 13 while the blood pressure subsides on Husky Nation.

Good to see my unnecessary vocabulary immediately woke UConn up a little.

67-43 final but far from a blowout and will win no beauty contests.

Bueckers with 31 on 15 shots the lone exception.

4 years in and Bueckers still doesn't get it. An alpha she is not.

Geno, in his halftime on-court spot, and in the 3rd qtr after he called a time out and greeted his team with "wtf was that?!", continues to mirror my in real-time game thoughts. It's uncanny.

(btw, i hate the phrase "in real-time")

what do you mean by your first statement? 11-15 FG for 31 points with 1 solid confidant... are you implying shoot more/be more aggressive/be like CC?
