Poll question is: How many here saw a devastating outcome IN THEIR OWN FAMILY due to a COVID-19 infection or infections?

By devastating (short of death) I mean a severe outcome that is beyond life altering or diminishing such as long COVID but something more along the lines of severe brain injury or destruction of the lungs or other organs requiring a transplant, loss of limbs, etc.

By family I mean literal family members but certainly including distant cousins and in-laws.

And please feel free to elaborate or share your story here in this thread.

I will fold this and another COVID-19 poll into the larger COVID thread in due time.

OK. Effed up this poll, too. Left out the 'both' option. Ironically. Rolling Eyes Fixed now.
