Total rumor out there right now, is that Reese has had some issue academically while at LSU - that her GPA is way low, and that she may be getting into academic penalties. But it is total rumor-mill right now.....

I don't think it's related to academics. Mulkey benched Reese for the 2nd half of the Kent St. game a few days ago. If it was due to academics, I would think Mulkey wouldn't have played Reese at all.

Well, we know she was below a C average last season so was left off at least one POY finalist list because of it. It's academic limbo now - how low can she go before she's under LSU's grade point minimum?

But I agree that the reason she's not with the team is more related to a clash of egos that GPA. Angel's seen the reports she might not get picked top 4 in the WNBA draft due to her lack of shooting outside 5 feet. She's been shooting (& clanking) a lot more of those shots this season. I think Kimmie wants her firmly planted near the basket for put backs - the thing she's REALLY good at.

Meanwhile, teammates Mikayla Williams and Sa'mya Smith are tearing it up.

You didn't think the players got all "drama queen" all by themselves, right? They're just doing what their (adolescent acting) moms do. Kimmie is all drama too, but knows when to keep her mouth firmly shut. She does her talking by choosing who to put on the floor.

Pretty funny, though, to see Flaujae's mom talking about Angel's GPA. Um, if you really cared about your daughter's education, she wouldn't be at LSU.

Laughing Sadly, I do believe the 'caring about your education' ship has sailed, once the NIL crap floated into the harbor. Okay, maybe that's a bit melodramatic, but for the uber-talented stars, THAT'S the 'degree' you're after: the degree of fame and fortune you can attain.

Frankly, if I was a 20-year-old undergrad already making millions....why bother?
