I dunno....teams DO that. Look at the success of Iowa and Indiana last year: neither of their star posts was over 6'2". What was lacking in this game, imo, was the dazzling, sparkly synchronicity we typically saw in former seasons for UConn. Is that even revive-able?


Players primarily responsible for that synchronicity in recent seasons have been away from the game for a bit recuperating from injury. They may be a bit rusty to open the season - mentally if not physically. Muhl can be a bridge to help both Bueckers and Fudd regain their roles in being team leaders in the meantime.

This team may be totally different come mid-season....the talent is there - the confidence needs to catch up.....
